Nothing has said you do every trial on an island before moving on to the next is the thing. I'd imagine the last trial is actually on the first island, for instance.

Well, then there wouldn't be any trial in the fourth island if a second, final trial happened in the first one. We have already seen the four trial captains of the second island and how 3 of their trials work, so i'm expecting that the ones we haven't seen (much of) yet are the final two on the bottom two islands, otherwise why show over half of the captains at the start if they weren't from the first-ish half of the game.

Team building at this point is also impossible since we don't know anything about the new Pokémon apart from what they look like. It's kind of funny that now that the new Pokémon have been leaked, the only things that haven't been spoiled yet is the plot... In a Pokémon game.

I was never really big on the early route mammals (I think Diggersby is the only one I've properly bred and trained), but the Trump meme regarding Yungoos kind of ruined the Pokémon for me at least. If anything I'm looking forward to using Alolan Raticate and Stoutland if I wanted to train a normal typed early route mammal.
