I'm in silver and pretty much just play the 10 games every year to get placed I just don't have the free time anymore to dedicate to Riot's Funtime Magical Rank Up system wherein promo games are so heavily influential and still have a solid chance of a player leaving on either side

Tbh I get not wanting to play ranked tho, the first season I placed gold then didnt play anymore, the second season I placed high silver and climbed to gold and stayed there. It was only really this season that I actually took ranked seriously and got to plat but even then the games are kind of more stressful and you feel obligated to pick your best champs and play boring everytime.

Climbing right now is a nightmare, both teams probably have elo boosters right now and it's just a toss-up between how many legitimate players you get versus people who actually belong back in bronze

Well I guess I'm sitting pretty where I am then, I haven't played much ranked recently cause outside of really buckling down to improve my weaknesses I think i could at best get to plat 3 or so from grinding and at that point there doesn't seem to be much of a reason to other than placing slightly higher next season. Plat border is plat border haha.
