The Hyrule Warriors LBW DLC includes two characters (Ravio, Yuga), a new adventure map, 17 costume recolours and 15 new My Fairy pieces. (Remember, Wii U only gets the characters.)

Ice Station Z is 3DS' first and hopefully last online sandbox crafing survival zombie game.

I bought Bayonetta using the My Nintendo discount, hoping to play it on my gamepad but it keeps losing its connection. I'm in my bed literally just a metre or so away from the console, but the connection drops every couple of seconds and it makes the game completely unplayable :negative:

Does anyone know any way I could troubleshoot this? There are no routers/microwaves/radio equipment anywhere close but I live in an apartment so perhaps there's wireless interference anyway, though I don't know how to check. I honestly hope it's a faulty gamepad (it's from launch and I bought it secondhand) because then at least I could just buy a new one.

The gamepad uses 5ghz so check if something on that spectrum is nearby. If not, it may be faulty.

When I first got the Wii U I set it up inside my TV stand (which is a big metal cage) and the gamepad wouldn't connect until I moved the console less than an inch to the left. Maybe just move it a little if it's covered in any way.

Apparently you get a code for 300 platinum My Nintendo points when you buy the NES mini. Not a big deal, but it makes me wonder if they are going to start giving us points with physical releases when the Switch comes out.

I wonder when they are going to give us something to actually spend the points on. I have thousands of platinum coins and hundreds of gold coins, with nothing to buy.

Implementing something like My Nintendo for a console they're going to replace after about a year doesn't really make sense, so I think they might have been using it as a kind of public beta. Hopefully that means that there'll be more meaningful rewards when the Switch comes out.

The Wii version of DK Jungle Beat doesn't just feature remapped controls, they made a bunch of changes to the mechanics, scoring system and level structure, so if you liked the bongo version but never played the port you might want to check it out.

NOA apparently changed their eShop submissions protocol in a way that prevents them from posting sales ahead of time, so NA people will just have to check the eShops and/or http://www.nintendo.com/games/game-guide#filter/-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|true|-|-|-|-|featured|des|- from now on (and the website doesn't tell you when sales end so even that's not comprehensive).

The new Mario Party game is weird and not the game you want but I kinda dig it.

What is the supposed value of gold coins?

Looking at my points history, Metroid 2 cost 30 gold coins and is $4 on the Canadian eShop, Super Mario Kart was 60 and is $11.29, Donkey Kong 3 ($3.99) and Wario Land 3 ($4.99) were each 40.

So I guess it's pretty inconsistent. But essentially, 60 gold coins can be worth $8-12

They then want you to spend 100 gold coins to get about $12 Canadian off of Star Fox 64 3D. Or 80 coins for around $10 off Mario Golf World Tour.
