Whilst one would imagine the hair, beard and face would be teh AUG in this photo, I would urge people to look closer. There seems to be multiple wizard robes hung up behind him, and his choice of jewelry and bedroom posters lead me to believe that he is the kind of fellow to wear said robes out in public.

I started with episode one of season one of Catfish I am less than 10 minutes in "He's a model and studying online to be an anesthesiologist and writes jokes for Chelsea Lately and has three beautiful sisters who died in a car crash and I love him so much" Watching Max keep a straight face during this is the absolute best part

I've never watched catfish, but the thing that doesn't make sense to me is why anyone would contact the show in the first place? Like, isn't the whole schtick that these people aren't dating who they think they are? If these people are really so gung ho about their online relationship, why do they contact a show that's about people dating fakers? Do they ever have an episode where they actually are dating someone who is as they appear online? What do they get out of contacting the show?

Some people have a huge crush and the show helps them get the courage to own up to the lie. Some of the lies are less exaggerated than others.

I saw one about this sweet girl and a marine where he was same person but had cut off contact because he had a PTSD episode and got arrested that ended happily. There was another one where a husband was catfishing his wife because they weren't communicating anymore and he wanted to help her through some stuff. What I don't get is that every time the catfisher agrees to appear on camera after being busted. I think it's an American thing where they're happy to be on TV no what the situation?

Well it's Halloween, the local furry I've seen around the neighborhood a couple times, knocked on my door for trick or treating. She was only wearing half her fur suit. The other half was an ICP tshirt and juggalo makeup.

I thought what actually happened was that the catfish was the one that contacted the show, and the investigation was just a case of using the information the victim gives them to lead back to the person they already know but I could be wrong.

Yeah, this ended up in a report a few years ago. In most cases, the catfisher is the one who contacts the show. Everyone has to sign contracts to appear on the show beforehand, so it would be virtually impossible for MTV to actually make the identity of the catfish a surprise to themselves. Apparently the hosts truly don't know who the catfisher is and do authentic research to try and identify them, but the producers are aware of everything going down.

As an ex furry: you can just buy "halfsuits" and fursuit legs or whatever by themselves. I think the idea is supposed to be like a satyr thing, but furries are just cheap af sometimes. Speaking of, Laaadddiesss. (Also the rest of that dude's gallery is FNAF inflation porn. Hooray.)

OK, now I'm hooked watching that Catfish show. I am only on episode 3, Jasmine and Mike and, drat it goes off the rails in a big way. "Mike", the guy Jasmine has been talking to for two years, is some bitch Jasmine knows named Mhissy (yes, that's how she spells her name) who did this for revenge. Mhissy comes out and throws a flower at Jasmine and later says, "She didn't take my flower I threw at her. That's sad." And the reason for this? So Jasmine would quit talking to a guy Mhissy liked. This woman is a total sociopath and is quite proud of what she has done.

Doesn't this episode go on to sympathize with her? Showing her with her kids while she talks about how she's "really not a bad person"? That's one of my favorites.

I started watching it for the first time by buying the latest season. Aside from the two "bonus" episodes of the show Suspect that were included in the 1st episode it's kind of fun. Obviously staged as hell but it's at least entertaining. The only thing that irritates me is how the sidekick guy always has to be holding his own camera. You're being followed around by a camera crew, it's just blatant advertising for Canon or whatever.
