So, i've been having this in the back of my head for a while, but if they're gonna beef up the release schedule with updated ports with more content then they'd need a name to differentiate from the Wii U version, and just adding Switch would be pretty lame... but what about S? The general public probably sees an S at the end as the betterer version of something, so if someone sees Splatoon S or Mario Kart 8S they'll figure "oh, that's the improved, nicer thing"

I think 'X for Switch', similar to the way they handled Smash. That way, people know it's the same core concept, but a distinct version.
