Just opened a scavenger Hypercrate hoping to at least get one good mount, saber, companion, or weapon effect. Nope, just a bunch of dumb poo poo and a boatload of stupid housing decorations that I don't give a poo poo about. At least I can sell the 20 or so Chance Cubes for some cash to buy... something. Really wanted that halberd double staff for my Assassin or Senya's saber for my Jugg.

Just arrived on Ilum, managed to hit level 65 a couple of planets ago. If I'm trying to get to Champion level on DvL, should I just go straight to Shadow of Revan and KotFE? This is the first time I've taken a character this high - how spoilered would I be if I just spacebarred through SoR and KotFE, with the intention of following the story on a future character? (I think the flashpoints are going to be my sticking point for Champion, though.)

Clarence posted:Just arrived on Ilum, managed to hit level 65 a couple of planets ago. Yes, start SoR and KOTFE. Make sure to do the prelude to SoR as you need to do those 4 flashpoints anyway. I'd recommend watching the story, mostly because you really aren't going to WANT to ruin through KOTFE again. It really is a one time decent story with lots and lots of filler.

My favourite part of KOTFE is when it set up a dramatic rescue mission only to send us on an unrelated mission with Mandalorians instead, and then everyone turned up home safe and sound somehow until I banished the Havok squad guy because I was frustrated at not being able to do the same to people who actually deserved it (Senya, Scorpio). Stay safe, bro. Second favourite is the heist mission where everything goes right for the first time in the history of heists. No twists, no drama, even when there wasn't a plan everything goes fine..

Yeah do Ziost when you finish Shadow of Revan and it points you in that direction. It's quick and good if you're doing it for the first time for the story. There's a few bonus missions with achievements etc attached to them but you can always do those later on another character if you're in a rush.

Followed the breadcrumb, but I think I already had the group one in the tracker (still there after an abortive PUG try a couple of days ago). If I cancel it can I get it back again?

I am on the Trooper Story quest arc (still!?) and off to Hoth to get my final recruitment till I can go after the Gauntlet thing. How much longer is this darn quest arc until I can start blitzing through the rest of the requirements to get to I believe champion level in the DvL Event? I have to still start and do a Darkside character as well and will need to blitz through it to get anywhere near complete before the 29th. I now know I need to stay away from any other Story Arc stuff that the game throws at me and just do them over with an Alt later, They take up Waaaaay too much time to just do the same sort of "Help me by destroying these 4 things, followed by get into this place to free X person, then please help up take control of this weapon, only to pick the light side option and destroy whatever it was and move on with our lives. Ugh Interesting, but the amount of travel involved needlessly (can't we just use our cellholos for everything dammit?) makes it too much of a time sink. Also is there a way to warp to all the Flashpoints I need now or later in game to play them solo? Or do you have to travel to them wherever they are to get to them and do them for the DvL event as well? I still am soo lost in so many areas of this game. Grr

Hoth is the last planet for Chapter 2, there are three more planet for the main class story before you go into Shadow of Revan (2 planets), Ziost (1 planet), then the KotFE chapters. Technically the main story also includes Ilum, Makeb, and Oricon, but they are not required for the DvL event besides a couple of Legendary level achievements and starting KotFE won't lock them out so you can go back to them later. For Champion level you should only need to run a single character through the story. Eternal level requires a second character on the other faction (but only to level to 65, not to do the whole story). When you queue for a flashpoint with the Group Finder, it will warp you there once a group has been assembled. A few of them do not have a solo mode so you will need to queue for them (or get a friend and travel there manually, they are easy with two players + two companions). These are: Hammer Station, Athiss, Mandalorian Raiders, Cademimu, Red Reaper, Kuat Drive Yards, Kaon Under Siege, Lost Island, Czerka Corporate Labs, Czerka Core Meltdown Edit: Get the legacy perk that removes Quick Travel cooldowns and you'll be much happier with the travel time. I re-did the planetary stories on a Trooper recently because, for whatever reason, the game didn't recognize that I had already done them for all eight classes multiple times, along with thinking I hadn't done the Trooper story for the same unknown reasons. I hope I never feel the need to do that again. Those planetary missions got boring after the second or third time, let alone the 17th or however many times it's been now.

Kaon and Lost Island (and Colicoid War Games) aren't part of the Champion level because they don't have solo or tactical versions. Which is cool if you want to see the two Rakghoul story lines, you can solo the normal mode version if Kaon and Lost Island.

Manaan done now, thanks for the help. Had to run the flashpoint twice in the end. Dropping the quest the first time allowed me to pick it up again and run the flashpoint solo. Unfortunately, the wrapper quest couldn't be completed so I had to reset that and run it again.

AND THE WINNERS OF THE GOONOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST ARE 1st place - Sombrerotron. High effort video with a hilarious costume. Well done! 2nd place - Chickenwalker. Again, well done entry and who doesn't love Zapp Brannigan? 3rd place - Dely Apple. Just looks good! We also decided to give a 4th place prize to Aleth since he was gung ho about the contest and posted constantly. So - Winners may post here what item they want from the Oedzi Memorial tab in the guild bank. Assumption is that Sombrerotron wants the Pike, but there's plenty of other items to choose from for 2-4! Only off limits items are the Flagship parts, everything else is fair game. There are a few droid/beast companions, a Rakghoul weapon tuning, a few armor sets. Post which one you'd like and I'll send it to you - obviously first pick is 1st place, 2nd is 2nd place, etc. After the 4 have made their choices I'll see what's left and randomly give away a few leftover items to the other people that participated.

The only time cover was genuinely useful was in PvP, and even then you didn't have the portable cover screen so you had to rely on finding natural cover. And even then, it really was only useful as a healer so you wouldn't get leapt to. The 30m overload shot + knockback is more than a fair trade.

Oh I missed that:quote:Mobile Strategies: Exfiltrate grants a charge of Mobile Strategies, reducing the energy cost of your next Overload Shot by 100%, allowing it to be used at 30m, and making it knock the target back.
