Sorry to be a whiny baby, but Tone is still an unfun lovely joke of a Titan and needs to be fixed. Probably not a great idea to put the best defense plus best main gun plus best utility plus top tier core ability on the same Titan. Can't tell you how many times I have legit outplayed these fuckers only to get a Salvo Core to the face.

I somehow fixed the problem, I believe it may have either been disabling the origin overlay or my antivirus. I did do a repair for good measure but i'm not sure if it re-downloaded anything. Promptly was put into a game with a bunch of other new players against a team of people who have somehow already regenned. One guy on our team did nothing but stand there complaining about his "lovely team" while literally not contributing, another was afk. Same old titanfall...

One nerf I'd do is make it so you don't get Titan lock ons from splash damage, only direct hits. Maybe also make it not a one hit kill on pilots with a direct hit at long range or something. That one feels like it might be a little weird but without that change she's always going to be the best against pilots plus extremely strong against Titans

i got stomped by some goons and i wanna play with them because the giant bomb players are bad, my origin id is carmyncross and i'm d2p whenever i don't know what it is about this game but i can't be consistently good at it, i either do great or terrible with no middle ground. i was good at cod when i played that and i remember being pretty decent at the first titanfall but i just can't fully get a grasp on this one. it's fun tho Cardboard Box fucked around with this message at 04:50 on Nov 8, 2016 |

Tone needs to be nerfed, whatever MYSTERY NERF they did was not enough. Having a gun that can pick off pilots across the map, the ability to poo poo missiles all over other titans, and a shield that blocks loving everything including the Scorch flame wall is loving dumb. also the cloak isn't OP but everyone who uses the cloak in this game should feel bad

The EPG might not technically be the best weapon in the game, but there's nothing like firing it a falling enemy from halfway across the map and getting their name splash across your screen a couple seconds late.

i want to love the hemlock because of the m16 in call of duty but im still chasing that dragon. no three-shot burst rifle has ever been as joyously broken i find the guns i'm enjoying the most are submachine guns because the spread on them is so small, even when hipfired

I am still terrible at this game, but man they made the movement so fluid. It feels great to do poo poo like eject out of your mech, land on an enemy one, pull out the battery, and grapple over to an ally to heal them up. I don't know why anyone would ever not take grapple.

Unless you're expecting to get into a fight in punching range long range mode (the one that turns the HUD red) is the better option. I'm not certain on what each mode does to the gun itself or how it interacts with smart core because I rarely use close range mode for anything beyond power shoting pilots/AI so I don't have any good comparisons.

Long range mode makes your gun shoot twice as fast, giving you twice the DPS, at the cost of taking an extra second or so to brace/spin up before firing. Better at short-medium-long distances, but worse if you need to disengage and re-engage rapidly. Also power shot does obscene amounts of damage, especially if you hit a crit spot.

Really quite a few of the Titans have this great combo system underneath that was lacking in the first game. Getting crits with the Ion's primary weapon to refill your shoulder laser faster, switching shot ranges with the Legion, the tether to lock down and keep range with the Northstar. It's all an extra layer as opposed to the titan combat in the first game which was just using cluster missile and nuke eject, with maybe the Arc Cannon or 40MM.

Also can I just say Ion's Core is the best for roasting pilots in a "uh wow I guess you really wanted that guy dead, huh man " kinda way I love Ion, especially because she shits on Legion so hard
