Warrior trip report from soloing Ascent To Madness: If you're ever having trouble with break bars in open world stuff, slot Wild Blow alongside Headbutt. Wild Blow is more break bar than un-berserked Level 3 Mace Burst, so you can just walk up to something and do Wild Blow -> Headbutt and it'll be stunned if it's not a scaling boss, and you'll have full adrenaline to do Berserk Primal Burst GS2 Primal Burst etc etc Mad King was being kind of a pain in the rear end because I couldn't readily break bar him until I added Wild Blow in (I'm running Wild Blow, Signet of Fury, and "For Great Justice!" with Healing Signet and Headbutt) and is super easy now that I can just walk up and crush his break bar on my own. I have 9 level 80s (needed a second Guardian for some reason) but only two of them were leveled in a "proper" way. Everyone else was tomes, boosters, WvW farming and whathaveyou. None of them are fully kitted with Ascended gear and none of them have Agony resists.

I wish I would just focus on one drat character for change instead of having lots of alts (and naturally having to kit them out as well) so maybe I could afford some high-end stuff for my main character, like a legendary or something. It was the same in GW1 and then LoTRO, and I thought "with GW2 I have learned" but no, it's still the same thing.

I have so many tomes and level up scrolls i buy new character slots every time they are on sale. They are cheaper than the equivalent in bank storage.

Get one character decked out in Ascended and with 150 AR, learn fractals, and use the money from them to fuel your alt-itis Warrior would honestly be my pick for first character if I could go back and do it all again, they're ridiculously good and are invaluable for any group activity. I wouldn't mind being able to focus on a single profession as well but the game is so polarized in what professions are good at which activities. My druid is great at raids, my necro is great at solo world pve, my warrior is great at world raids (and raids but i haven't brought it there), mesmer is great at jumping puzzles etc. I like focusing on a single character in MMOs but its not so bad in GW2 since almost everything is account wide. Like literally everything is, except character levels and gear that is exotic and rare. Green and below gear doesn't even bind. I do find myself mostly playing my necro and druid though, and virtually never use the other professions
