While I once liked Maddow, Kornaiki (spelling I'm sure), Hayes, and Lawrence they really come off badly over time. Way too snarky and smarter than thou. That sort of stuff can work but it's way to formulaic over time. I prefer more straight news like PBS, NPR, BBC. MSNBC is great when going for specific coverage, but if you watch it too much it really does grate on your nerves.

 PRO-TIP if you are curious about a specific state (NC for myself) then you can check the election results with your state board of elections to get updates sooner, for example NYT says 18k/7k trump/hillary while the state site has results from over 1.8m already http://er.ncsbe.gov/?election_dt=11/08/2016&county_id=0&office=FED&contest=0 NC state results here
