I do know some white people that were pro-Trump though and the best the could come up with is that Trump wasn't a crooked politician. I responded that Trump seemed like a warmonger given his previous statements about using nuclear weapons. He also seems extremely ignorant of world-wide military capabilities considering he didn't know China had nuclear weapons (which they've had since the 60's). Their response was that he didn't seem that way at all to them, he didn't seem militarily aggressive in their opinion. My conclusion is that religion has a huge impact on America as a whole still. It doesn't matter what fact you have, if they have other instructions for a place of religious authority it doesn't matter whether or not the information they have is actually backed up by facts. Brainwashing trumps everything else and a large portion of our country has been brainwashed by religious establishments since birth and it's extremely hard to overcome that.
