this isn't an 'i told you so' since i didn't say anything, but i did think during the election that people were foolish to dismiss trump campaigning in michigan et. al. if the polls were correct he was doomed no matter what - so you should campaign to be in the best position assuming the polls are wrong by enough points to make you competitive. which they were. so i guess the inverse is you should play defence assuming the polls are wrong by enough points to make your opponent competitive.

Hillary Clinton needed some hypno-therapy from Revolver Ocelot to make her believe that she was, in fact, Bernie Sanders. Seriously though, I don't know how anyone could hope to reform the Democratic Party or pivot it within the next four years, whether you supported Clinton or not. I haven't been in CSPAM since the primaries were over and expected this place to be rubble today. But given the deep structural rot of both parties, it seems like agitating for election reform is more worth your while than putting a fresh suit on the Walbochia-infested corpse that is the Democratic Party.

Has this been brewing for a while or is it a position made while in shock that can easily be changed later? Clinton and Friends blew it so hard that a neo nazi rapist is now president. They are on the next boat to Hawaii. I know what I know because Iv been talking to the Kaine crowd here in NOVA and from the people I follow for information. They don't have a plan right now, but I can guarantee they are not "100% willing to hand everything over to the left" Heres something to feel smug about : They all now realize that under a bernie like person they would keep most of their income and now they might lose it all cause Trump and Ryan don't know gently caress about economics. hobbesmaster posted:Clinton also out polled Trump. from things i've read, magas were coordinating on every social media network we have, spreading two key points: a: "Liberals and the Media" think all trump followers were racist shitheads (we pretty much proved this true) and b: this belief that if you betrayed your allegiance to Trump too publicly, the machine would find a way to suppress your vote so "shh" hence trump voters kept their loving mouths shut. it was an organized conspiracy to lie to the polls to enable the sneak attack because they knew polls were all the Democrats had. e: I have no intention of ever voting for a DNC candidate again without a serious gutting and reform, preferably at least started by sanders
