There is such a huge disconnect this election in terms of things for republicans (and a lot of white democrats) its just like oh our team won/lost bummer. But for muslims and latinos and black people its like a constant stream of "go back to africa, lol you're getting deported". I feel like the people protesting at this point aren't so much disgruntled that hillary lost and more that since trump was proclaimed the next president they or their families or their peers are being treated like poo poo

I guess I can now relate to how my grandparents felt when Obama first took office and the end of civilization in the following 8 years except "the colored" is orange in this case and has a shot at carrying this out. Full support from gramps of course

gently caress man, I really need to stop clicking on these stories http://fox43.com/2016/11/10/reports-of-post-election-tension-at-york-county-school-of-technology/ quote:A video posted on social media has parents of students at York county School of Technology concerned. The three-second video shows two students carrying a Trump campaign sign through a hallway at the school on Wednesday. A voice can be heard saying, “White Power.” The video set off a maelstrom on social media and was accompanied by reports of minority students in the school being harassed. Parents who reached out to FOX43 said the school was not responding to questions about it. Another post threatening a violent response was also circulated. I mean at least this stuff still makes school officials concerned

I feel like the people protesting at this point aren't so much disgruntled that hillary lost and more that since trump was proclaimed the next president they or their families or their peers are being treated like poo poo I'm kind of afraid of an overcorrection on our (displaced white Democrat) side from "oh those poor people are just racists, so gently caress 'em" to a complacency about racism out of a sincere (and worthy) desire not to ignore the "economically distressed" any more. Like, I don't think it's inevitable or universal, but I can already see the same old social justice vs economic justice battle lines forming when they are in fact the same goddamned thing and every one of us needs to do better. (Substitute sexism, homophobia, anti-trans stuff, any sort of hateful prejudice you care to for racism in the above as you see fit.)

in every single one of those pics, Trump has a big ol nothing behind his eyes, and Obama is looking into the camera like Jim on the Office also we really do need to realize that economic justice is social justice and we gotta stop letting the rich divide us long enough for us to eat them namaste, death is certain

on a black dude's comment about being scared because people are drawing swastikas on loving EVERYTHING posted:Look, the Nazis were genocidal left-wing racist socialists. We Trump supporters are none of that. This is clearly fraudulent. Just like the recent burned black church in Mississippi with "vote Trump" spray painted on it. Trump supporters are just not that stupid. What the gently caress even is my life.
