Also Wahoo Terminal. Is there actually a story buried in all of this? Like yeah, 9CL will go on multi-year tangents about Nazi banging but at least it demonstrates Brooke's ability to follow a drat plot thread, it boggles my mind that his vanity project is somehow exponentially worse at that. Or maybe it shouldn't boggle my mind at all and that's the real explanation here.

9CL is a comic about people who want to gently caress supernatural and/or robotic beings with rape, torture, and body horror thrown in for good measure. It's like erotic horror done by someone who isn't capable of writing erotica or horror.

His Divine Shadow posted:Can you explain it further, I don't get a single loving thing about that. Perhaps it requires some knowledge of american football? The way American football works, the two teams are trying to push one another up and down the field. Team A scores if a player manages to carry or catch the ball on the opposite side of team B's goal line, and vice versa. Additionally, each team has a goal post behind its goal line, through which the ball can be kicked under certain circumstances. If a team couldn't move out of the shadow of their own goalpost, that would indicate they are putting forward a very poor offensive effort. The goal line is literally a chalk line drawn on the grass, so if the team can't move out of the show of that, they're putting forward a very poor effort indeed. e. This is missing the biggest goonsay to have ever goonsaid. Safety Dance fucked around with this message at 12:45 on Nov 15, 2016 |

Ghostlight posted:Like, technically? Yes there is a story literally buried in all of this. Each arc is its own story though, theoretically, which then buries the previous arc in all of its own bullshit while Brooke actively strangles it to death with the umbilical cord. The thing is, I don't remember if Pigporn started out like this. If I remember right, from reading it a long time ago, it was about a fairy, Pib, who was loved by a human man, but said man was lusted after by that succubus character (the one who always looks like her entire body is infected or at least her ears with the red poo poo coming off it). I think for a while it was just about those three and light happy flower poo poo. And then we got into demon trees growing out of people and weird demon poo poo, come to point today. It's like Brooke read Gor and thought drat, I could up this with fairies! But make it more high brow. There's an online comic I was reading for a while that seems similar. It didn't start out too bad. But fast forward a few years and literally every panel is a speech bubble with a smug person or a person with a CAD stretched head being smug. Is there a story to it? Maybe, in the same way The Phantom Menace had a story to it. For Pigporn, I remember mostly the stupid demon-baby arc and something about vampires and the fairy being a robot? Yeah. Like that.

Thanks for the image resizing tips! I remembered that it involved adding a letter, but I was trying to swap it in for the t of a timg tag. e: And let me know if the big version is big enough; I'm scaling it down from ~2000x1200 to ~1500x900 to avoid the need to side-scroll to read it, but I can leave it at that original size if that's preferred. His Divine Shadow posted:Can you explain it further, I don't get a single loving thing about that. Perhaps it requires some knowledge of american football? If a team has possession of the ball deep in their own end of the field, they could very reasonably be said to be "in the shadow of their own goal line" (since for a variety of reasons the team is essentially backed up against a metaphorical wall). I'm not even sure what Batiuk thinks Crankshaft is "supposed" to be saying here; if it's "goal posts", that's just also correct, certainly not worthy of a Shocked Malapropism Reaction Face.
