Secondly I think the idea of the super mmo spaceship game like freelancer hadn't properly been done - It was seen as like a series of insurmountable technological obstacles. And back in 2012 one of the big things was that spaceship games were kind of dead. Every one was doing stupid CoD clones. So the idea that a space game in really big scale could be an mmo (apart from eve)... it was a lovely idea.

Please let us know how you were playing a game before you were even a twinkle in your father's eye.

Listen little lady, this is my proof you can't act otherwise. You are 18, and this is an age where you are legally an adult but your lack of life experience just shuts common sense down.
It is okay, I have been there, too and sometimes I wonder what I would tell my 18yr Alter Ego if I could travel back in time.
But on the other hand I needed to fall often and make wrong decisions to evolve in the person I am today in my life, for my wife and stepson, for my friends, family and in my job.
Falling and standing up and keeping heads up builds our character over the centuries.
You were a kid some time ago and you are still in the transition.
HOW could you comprehend how dumb your 6k pledge is? You can't.

Instead, your 6k are an emotional symbolic icon and hope to get the SC dream alive.
But the formal layer here you right now can't "see" is that it is an investment for life experience and you will ask yourself in some years how you were so naive and dumb.
It really is okay. This thread will neither convince you nor stop you justifying your mindset and decisions. Because in your phase of your life you are less rational than you believe you are.
Again this is okay, I wasted like 30k Euro overall between age 18 and 25 and did not listen or realize where I was wrong in my causal context.
Now I do, and these were my lessons learned and what money means to me and what it does not mean or solve.

Your 6k lesson in failure just keeps Sandi and Chris in this business some months longer unfortunately. That's why you face that reactions now, Deloria.
Don't take it personal, you are still just a few steps into Teenie age. Enjoy it.

And get a refund, just to prove me wrong and buy great stuff teens enjoy.
We both now, you won't. And you won't listen to your alter ego from 2038 as well :)

In 2038 you may ask yourself wtf you were thinking by confessing you admire SANDI GARDINER :corrupt:

And also that they've likely been proven as trying to use Poser models to garner $10k in donations so they can render them in the nude as well, for a calendar. Because honestly I should have seen that one coming!

So I'm going to give this to you here, only this once, in honor of the rough night with Deloria. Consider this a sort of "get well, sailor!" package.

Does he own the house outright/pay a mortgage? I thought I heard someone itt say it's a rental. Which is even more lol because there'll be nothing to show for that rent money when it's all over. He also isn't going to want to be anywhere where the backers can definitively find him when it's over.

He'd be smarter to rent, as then they can't re-posses it, and possibly write some of the cost off. So I'm going with "owns it".

Oh, but I absolutely do want SC to come out. It's going to be so much funnier when people lose their poo poo over the concrete tangible unplayable boring garbage the game is going to end up, rather than having half of those idiot still going "oh well, at least CR tried!".

But on the other hand "get a refund" is way more normal thing to ask, especially when the project has huge red flags raised all over the place, than I don't know, say "what would get you to put more money in this game?".

Maori mythology tells of a mighty hero named Maui, who did many great deeds.

In one of these stories, Maui was very angry at the Sun, because the Sun ran around and around the world too quickly, and there was not enough hours in the day for people to get anything done. So Maui got the jaw-bone of his grandmother and beat the living poo poo out of the Sun with it, until the Sun, battered and bruised, agreed to go slower from then on :black101:

In another story, Maui took the same jaw-bone and used it as a fish-hook, and after many days struggle he hauled up the biggest fish the world has ever known. The body of the fish later became New Zealand's North Island, while Maui's canoe became the South Island.

The stories do not say how much that great fish was worth but I am sure it was more than $130 million
