Professional handsome man George Clooney is the best choice if the dems want to go the hollywood celebrity route. Big smug outspoken liberal, sure he'll be poison in the heartland but he might turn out Obama coalition numbers in the cities.

Also that got me thinking how DNC incrementalism even extends to the space program. I heard something on NPR about how the Obama administration determined that going to mars would be too expensive so they'd just land on some random tiny asteroid instead.

Put George Clooney in a movie where he wears flannel shirts and drives around a pickup truck while struggling to find work and take care of his three children as a widower dad while receiving guidance from his wise old pastor. Have him talk about Jesus on The View while promoting it. See if that helps

Clooney was nominated for an oscar for playing a rich Hawaiian lawyer who'se biggest problem was what to do with millions of dollars worth of oceanfront property.

Gabbard supposedly still personally opposes gay marriage, refused to answer when asked if gays are oppressed in the US, and never apologized for saying this.

As Democrats we should be representing the views of the people, not a small number of homosexual extremists.

Her only response is the typical "I have a 100% rating from the HRC!" I think I'll pass.

She phrased that extremely poorly and probably means it how she said it, but I think there's some merit to the idea that the party has gotten bogged down in some issues and that it's caused a loss of focus on others.

loving unbelievable. Republicans win with a white supremacist and you're anxious to throw minorities under the bus to catch up to them.

I haven't seen anything that suggests to me that Tulsi Gabbard is all that great. Why is she? Because she's a young, attractive, non-white, veteran female Bernie supporter? I get that image counts for a lot in politics, but it's nice actually have something more behind it (and if that something actually doesn't find gays icky in 2016) -- is there? I'm not convinced 'hates gay people less intensely than Mike Pence' is that impressive of a hurdle to clear for Dem candidate. I feel like I'm missing something here.

Favors greatly expanding admission of refugees. Favors long examination of military expenditure. Will not stand for BS put up by people who hide behind optics. Will not rise to bait despite what her opponents say, will attack on the issues every time and won't just say "look at what this man said to me". Gave limbs for her country, and back home she still thinks she has more to give it.

Yes, I know a few things about Ladda Duckworth. Enough to think that she's a woman who would steer America right if given the wheel.
