Yeah, we're going to war with Islam lol

quote:

General Flynn would bring to the White House a belief that the problem in the Middle East for the United States is ultimately with the Islamic faith itself. He has criticized the religion as being nothing more than a “political ideology,” has made a point of using the phrase “radical Islamist terrorism” as often as possible, and once posted a video on his Twitter account that included the phrase “Fear of Muslims is rational.” He has also claimed that Islamic law, known as Shariah, is spreading in the United States, without providing evidence.

I dunno. It's still a reversal from their original plan to basically kill private prisons at the federal level. No doubt anticipating that it's going to be reversed anyway.

lol that's not how it works at all. they just double down on their beliefs. conspiracy theorists can never realize and admit they're wrong, because it would require admitting they've been loving idiots their entire lives. most people can't handle that, especially dumb conspiracy theorists. Proof that their beliefs are wrong just makes them believe even harder.

It's literally where we get the concept of "cognitive dissonance" from.

So I know they were building a new plant in Mexico for their south-of-the-border business so they can free up production lines in US factories, specifically in Wisconsin, for other projects. This is the first time I've heard the Kentucky plant being brought up in regards to the Mexico plant. Also Trump seems to be the only source on this so far.

Yes, the phenomenon is called that, but that doesn't contradict what I said? That phenomenon is where we get the popular concept of cognitive dissonance from - experiencing cognitive dissonance is painful so people continue to belief even after the absurdity of disconfirmation.

It's why Trump's fervent base will never find any fault with him no matter what he does. They've come too far and the dissonance would be too painful.

So someone please tell me that there's no way for RoHoWa to start in this scenario

Emboldened by Trumps victory, attacks on minorities get worse and worst, until people are dying. Racist/indifferent local police either doesn't do anything or is actively involved in this harassment (think Civil Rights era American South). A Racist/indifferent DoJ also doesn't do anything, so minorities organize defensive militias for their communities. Because it's harder for random shirtless assholes with confederate flags to attack minorities, they also organize, and this being America, both sides exercise their 2nd Amendment rights and that just makes things worse. Because now white people are being killed, Police/DoJ gets involved, and this somehow validates the racists beliefs that minorities are terrible and just waiting to kill white people (even if its a response to increased violence against them).

This just spirals into worse and worse situations that looks like, i forget the event, but the time the cops literally bombed a black neighborhood? Anyways, poo poo gets real bad and the White powers that be just keep pushing and minority communities push back because clearly they are on the defensive.

Really, this feels like a possibility, less out of a organized persecution, but of an indifference for the well being of non white communities. But please tell me this is impossible because even if the AG is some racist fuckwad, the DoJ isn't going to tell the FBI to ignore lynchings and Church bombings.
