All these picks are pretty atrocious. Nothing I didn't expect, though. Trump is the deathknell of this country and that's good: this country stands for nothing and deserves to fall into disarray and anarchy. I have no respect for this nation anymore. None at all.

While campaigning he proposed a student loan plan. Infrastructure requires contractors, which isn't definitionally hiring but is still Keynesian spending that will stimulate the economy. He would likely not uncap payroll taxes but if he wanted to, dems ought to support it.

I've really been trying hard to stay in denial about Trump's election, plus I've had a lot of family stuff going on these last couple weeks. Wanted to avoid thinking about it for as long as possible, just to kind of let it settle in the back of my mind, otherwise I'd go crazy. But these cabinet picks are getting to me, and making it way more real. I was actually considering swearing off politics for my own psychological well-being, but it's not like I could avoid the creeping knowledge of all of this.

Yeah he said he wants to get rid of PSLF and have all fed loans forgiven no matter your job after 12 or 15 (I can't remember) years. Guess which one of those two he's probably actually going to do. I should add, current/past borrowers shouldn't worry because your protections are almost certainly going to be grandfathered in.
