One of the most positive things that can come out of this farce of an election is for people-at-large to realize that there are far more ways to become politically involved than by showing up every 2 years to vote.

One of the things that doesn't get brought up much is that the Democratic constituency (or at least, what I understand as the constituency) makes no loving sense at all. We have a party that includes: white collar upper class professionals, university students, all manner of leftists, single issue social voters, (at least a handful of) billionaires, the poor (???), and all manner of more left leaning minorities. Like, look at that. How the gently caress does a party whose constituency includes people making $150k+ a year, people who are completely radicalized and ready for socialism, and people who make less than $15k a year and are reliant on welfare make any sense at all? Going forward, people need to take a long hard look at who the party should actually represent.
