http://krqe.com/story-map-a-walk-through-the-animas-river-spill/ Clinton/Bernie/Trump campaigned and made very public events of their presence in Flint, MI addressing their water problems. Didn't hear boo from any of them about water being poisoned in Colorado and Arizona.

Bird in a Blender posted:I feel like this image is a good representation of the problem. Scruff McGruff posted:Oil and gas companies also have a pretty good track record of neglecting pipelines and falsifying safety reports in order to save a couple bucks (and then when a burst does happen they go to the government and say "how could we possibly afford cleanup, we need you to handle that). So yeah, the major concerns are basically that oil companies were more than willing to re-route the pipeline when the residents of Bismark were upset about safety but shrugged it off when the natives were upset about it. From what I understand they also pretty much ignored requirements from the Army Corps of Engineers to hold hearings with the tribes to address pipeline concerns and have in general just walked all over them on the project; which is par for the course with regards to tribal/US relations and they have had enough of it and are standing up for their rights. It's become more about the absurdly poor treatment of Native Americans than about the pipeline.

On top of that, they actively ignored government attempts to to find an exceptable route for the pipeline for years. So, their violent protest is solely just to protest something violently. We aren't talking about a hyperspace bypass where humans had no way of even knowing it was being built. Let alone know where to lodge a complaint or have the ability to get there. This issue is solely because the tribe ignored all active attempts to resolve the problem before it became a problem. Just because you ignore something doesn't mean it goes away.

Pretty juicy Reddit drama: https://www.reddit.com/r/SubredditDrama/comments/5ektpc/rthe_donald_accuses_the_admins_of_editing_t_ds/ Long story short, /r/the_donald is the most popular Trump subreddit and it's filled with as many terrible people as you're imagining. Spez, the newish CEO of Reddit, edited a post that was trolling him and changes all mentions of Spez to the mods of /r/the_donald. However, this was noticed and proof was provided, and this fed the paranoia and delusions of importance that members of that subreddit feel and they whip themselves into a frenzy. Finally Spez shows up, admits he did it because he was tired of being called a pedo, and apologizes. Anyone want to lay bets on when Spez steps down? I'm thinking Friday.

It’s been a long week here trying to unwind the r/pizzagate stuff. As much as we try to maintain a good relationship with you all, it does get old getting called a pedophile constantly. As the CEO, I shouldn’t play such games, and it’s all fixed now. Our community team is pretty pissed at me, so I most assuredly won’t do this again. gently caress u/spez. How could he think this would end well? Even though you can't blame him for editing the post(s), he should have known better.
