That tour sounds sweet, but we're both so drat ADD that guided tours make us super antsy. We've definitely seen some really cool hidden gems on side streets and alleys just walking around though. I will say that this is the first city we've been to where the admission that we're American isn't immediately followed by "QUE OPINES DE TRUMP?!" or the local variant, which is nice. You probably won't have time, but there's also Montjuic, the big hill overlooking that part of the city, with the big fuckoff palace museum on top which you can explore (I've never had time to go inside, but the view of the city from up there is pretty), there's also a cemetery on the far side of the hill with lots of graves of famous people from the civil war. You can take a bus up there pretty quickly, but it's still going to take a morning to explore the place probably. The food is excellent everywhere. There's a placed near the Av. de Paral-lel called La Marqueta or something that does amazing food, mostly meat, but they butcher it and cook it right there in the kitchen, so it doesn't get much fresher.

apparently there were anti-marijuana ads in mass during the election threatening that legalization would mean "more dispensaries than there are starbucks" in the state which just seems like a dumb variation on trump's taco truck line, but imo it would cool and good if dunkin donuts started selling weed and edibles

Pax - great for getting high if you still live with your parents. Honestly, I would just buy a pack of papers and grab an ounce and a half in Denver with the $200-250 they want for those vaporizers. My apartment might smell like a skunk's rear end in a top hat, but at least I'd have more weed than expensive paperweights.
