My cat almost died once because of a situation like this Wasn't expecting a squirmy kitten under a blanket as I flop down full butt-force inches from him. He really liked living on the edge.

Hello, thread. This gentleman is Moby. He’s been with us for about 12 years. He’s an incredibly mellow cat, and a great friend.  This young lady is Moby’s colleague/friend/rival/sparring partner, Eleanor. She’s been with us a couple of years.  Moby exploring his domain.  Moby and Eleanor sharing a heating pad last winter.

He's not aloof, he wants attention all the time, but still knows how to poo poo in a box and be left alone in the house with a full bowl of food and water and not die to starvation in 2 days.
