Padding it out with actual people doing things is a lot better than padding it out with skating and 5 minute scenes with 20 words spoken.

I dunno... The "what happens" between Saviors and the next thing is, well, boring as gently caress, super vague, etc (except that it involves Rick QQing and wringing his hand(s) a lot). So Oceanside may not even need to be involved in the Saviors conlfict for it to take up a couple episodes' space between commercials while Michonne plays Anne Bonny of the Zombies
