What are the chances we'll see that sale in the US? I really want to pick up Abzu and Inside on sale and am hoping they'll maybe be part of a VGA sale.

New Shantae should be out real soon. It is done and they have submitted it for approval. In theory we're getting FFXV, Last Guardian and Shantae 4 all one week after another

A lot of people really like it but I was left really cold by the ending.

The best comparison I can make is the Silent Hill movie, where the first 3/4ths are pleasantly atmospheric and the ending is extremely in your face, excessive and gross in a way the rest of the story isn't.

It's worth playing if you liked Limbo or that sort of thing. I just really loathed the ending but a lot of people adored it.

Do I need to have played Titanfall 1 to get the most out of Titanfall 2? I hear the online community is dwindling, if I wait a few months and only get to do single player, is it still worth it?

Nah. Titanfall 1 was multiplayer only and basically you need nothing of it to play Titanfall 2.

The single player is fun but very short.

I never played Titanfall 1, but utterly loved the single-player for Titanfall 2. You don't need to know anything about the first game to enjoy it. The enjoyment mainly comes from very interesting level design and clever/fun mechanics.

Titanfall 1 plot summary: There's a militant supercorporation in the future called the IMC that is strip-mining planets for minerals. A loose coalition of resistance fighters, the Militia, is fighting them. At the end of Titanfall 1, the Militia takes down a solid third of the total IMC fleet, and there's a schism in the IMC that weakens it further. The Militia is now on the offense. Also, apparently, a robot takes over part of the IMC, but that is never mentioned in the story of T2.

Also, giant mechs.

T2 is very fun single player.

Huh, thanks. Perhaps I'll wait for a better discount. I enjoyed Limbo but it was short and the ending was meh.

Invisible inc is very good. The final level has unacceptable performance on ps4 but otherwise plays well.

Shadow225
Jan 2, 2007

Yeah Invisible Inc owns a lot. It's a roguelike SRPG set in a Shadowrun Corp like future. You do spy things and liberate weapons/lower security/free other playable characters. I got it for free by volunteering to test the game for some goon and it was a very good decision. I'm not sure how it fares with a controller set up, but it's a very good free game if true.

I didn't dislike it but I liked it a lot less than the original. In particular i really really disliked the change that let you touch ghosts. It felt like a cheap workaround to some basic design problems.

Crap. Got Invisible Inc on a sale a while back and didn't get around to it. Oh well, it's a good game and the sale was a decent amount of time ago.

Well, that aligns with the vibes I was getting. Which was, like, "normal" kinda vibes.
I bought both of those games (Invisible Inc twice, once on Steam and again on PS4) because I'm a giant loving idiot. Invisible Inc is good is you like tactical games but I haven't played much of Stories. Shows me to spend my money on games instead of just waiting for PS+ to work in my favor.

Ooh, this reminded me to check if Invisible, Inc. was out for iOS yet and it is. Seems like it would be a great game on my iPad. I think I'm sorted for games for Christmas vacation this year.

It's still very clunky, mind, the movement feels very Castlevania 1 in how it feels. The game will kill you in a lot of cheap ways and it never quite feels comfortable to play. That said, it's strangely compelling, if only to see the next level set. The game looks as gorgeous in action as the trailers suggest and it's got a lot of goofy charm hidden underneath its overwrought narrative and stiff gameplay. I paid the full $15 for it and didn't feel ripped off, so a discounted price would be a fine choice.

Witcher DLC is about as good as DLC gets, and Blood and Wine in particular can stand alone next to some of the best RPGs out there (also serves as a perfect wrap up to the series, in the same vein as Citadel did for Mass Effect for me). Absolutely worth picking up and playing.
