The game you get to play while you download is rather lame, shorter than the demo by far. You just punch gobbos over and over, that's it. Wah wah. PSN is getting slammed harrrrrrrrd, my download is crawling. Oh well, gonna watch some TV and crash and play tomorrow. FFXV looks really beautiful on the PlayStation 4 Pro. I've only played for an hour in a half so far but I have work tomorrow so I need to go to bed now.

I'm enjoying the game so far but I am also getting very lost on things at point. Like combat feels kind of weird in when I am supposed to be doing stuff like the link attacks and what influences better follow ups than others?

Is there any way to more forward time besides resting? I have a hunt that only comes out at night and I declined to wait till nighttime when picking it up thinking I'd run down there and collect stuff/fight on the way, but now am I just stuck waiting?

Link-attacks happen randomly when you're back attacking. So always be attacking backs. You get more link-attacks if your bros have secondary weapons equipped, so make sure to immediately give Ignis a spear. Seems MUCH easier to get A ranks on fights now (I literally never figured out what the gently caress "Stealth" even meant after 30 hours of playing the game). Stealth = back attacks.

This game is super fun so far, and one time I glitched Ignis into dancing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3IiK_v70fo I jumped over a wall to talk to that guy, and Ignis must've still been in his falling animation. Only caught the end of it on the recording, but he was tap dancing with his arms out for the whole conversation, it was pretty

Went into this as utterly blind as I could, and the juxtaposition of the intro going from a regal looking place to a road trip breakdown in the middle of the Arizona desert (cue FF15 logo while the boys are bitching about their lot) had me laughing for a while. Haven't seen any plot yet but I hope the characterization keeps up (assuming Ignis ever loosens up, goddamn man get that rod out yo rear end)

I played it and got to 2.6M points. Everything was level 99 for quite some time. Only thing I got out of it was a defensive accessory. Took over 2 hours. Bleh

I don't know if this is true of digital copies, but if you go to play the game while 1.02 is installing you can play a combat demo, basically the end of Platinum but with infinite Goblins instead of the Iron Giant. It's fun enough, and I wish more games gave you at least something to do while waiting like this.
