That's not an oil leak. That's the automatic oil change and chassis protection feature.
All packed up and ready to ship. Probably gonna wait a week or two since I have a feeling my Santee would wait until Christmas anyways.

Dear Santa,

I'm sorry for being an oblivious jerk.

Lets see. When not commuting by bicycle, I daily drive a '97 Toyota Corolla. The '06 Mazda RX-8 is my weekend toy/race car.

As far as t-shirts go, I honestly have a closet full of em, but I typically wear size L.

Random ideas - I just bought a house in January and I've been spending much of the year fixing things up. Used houses are like used cars, there is a fair amount of PO fuckery to deal with. I'm kinda hanging it up for a few months to enjoy the holidays and take a break, but for upcoming projects I could use some dust masks for working in the attic (want to run some Cat6 up there, and need to throw down some more insulation) and a heat gun for dealing with some painted woodwork. Now that I've got a decent sized garage, its a wee bit bare. Going from a little one car rented garage at my apartment to a nice two car one means all my tools and stuff fits neatly into one corner, and so I've got plenty of room for decorations, etc. Although if you are thinking of sending me one of those handy locking Stanley wrenches, I've already got two, so thanks, but I wouldn't know what to do with a 3rd one. I'm thinking of getting my M endorsement this spring which aught to fill some space in my garage, and empty my pocket book.

I dunno. I'm pretty much up for anything that isn't roadkill, drugs, or goatsee. If you send me something interesting, I'll probably put it on a shelf somewhere as I've got a lot of empty ones right now.

Dear Santee, I'll try to figure something cool out, but your thread has a lot of posts I need to read first. Also, I promise to send you no less than 5g of 100% Genuine Real Canadian Snow assuming the postal service and US customs won't mind. If they do mind, I will figure out an appropriate substitute like 100% Genuine Real Canadian Recycled Beer.

Just finished making some custom T-shirts for my Santee.

Time to dig through my boxes of stuff to find something suitable for the horrible mechanical failures thread to send.

Sorry, Santee-

I sent the bulk of the actually amusing and useful crap- but the vintage Swedish repair manual would have cost another $20, so - maybe I'll send that after I find poo poo to sell on eBay.

Good thing I was wearing safety glasses yesterday, I was working on a piece for my Santee and struck a red hot 1/2" square bar so hard it slipped out of the jaws of my tongs, smashed into my face, burned and scratched my polycarbonate glasses, bounced into the ceiling of my shop, and landed two metres away from my feet. No permanent damage but I bruised my eyebrow and the bridge of my nose a bit. loving lucky my skin didn't get burnt though.

I hope you like your present Santee :tfrxmas:

My santee posts a lot, including about his vehicle in his thread about it, but no post he's made recently gives me an idea of what he needs. Browsing further back I've come across a couple things but I have no idea if he still needs them. I just got my profit share from work so I can toss some money towards something good, just need to know what.

Also, they never posted any requests in here.

Well, Santee-

I sent you a somewhat generic first package because it's going to cost me an extra $15 to send you the book I really want to. You'll probably be getting a second one shortly, because I'm a fucktard and forgot to put the card in with the gear.

Also, CSB, toss me your new address- I got a box of toys for ya (laundered to eBay specifications).

Over in Trad Games Secret Santa, of 64 main round gifts to be sent, 32 have already been received and another dozen or so shipped. Of course, I set an earlier deadline - everyone has to be shipped by the 13th and arrive by the 20th, because in past years when I set the deadline to the day before xmas, too many gifts showed up late.

I guess for AISS we have till like new years' day to get stuff delivered, though, so there's waaay more time.
