Did some grocery shopping, had dinner, I don't really remember what else happened today. Last night was lovely and I didn't sleep well due to nightmares so i ended up sleeping in until like 1 pm but I'm hoping now to keep myself distracted with some video games or something. Maybe streaming a game or maybe just playing some picross touch until I can fall asleep for a bit

Final Fantasy XV is really good. The storyline is fine, people are exaggerating. The game is about 4 bros on a roadtrip, the story is told through their perspective and what they see, it makes sense that we are not going get told every single little detail. You can watch Kingsglaive if you want to know more of the backstory.

Plot events are obviously slotted in from unfinished storyline events, characters vanish and appear for no reason, the game goes full Xenogears Disc 2 later on, it's honestly a huge trainwreck. It isn't even just "well, it's from their perspective" because things from the character's perspectives are also weird and disjointed. However the game is still really fun. You just have to acknowledge that it's like 3/4ths of a game they frantically stapled together to get a functional product in time for release and they clearly prioritized gameplay over story. Edit: Like honestly and straightforwardly, if I listed off FFXV's problems it would sound like an unplayable trainwreck but the actual execution is more charming than annoying. watching the trailer for Death Stranding it occurs to me the fat guy is Hideo Kojima, the baby is his ~vision for awesome games~, the skeleton nazis are the AAA game industry, and Mads Mikkelssen is the sexy tentacles that keep draggin Kojima back to making games when he should probably be writing novels instead e: also this I said come in! posted:Final Fantasy XV is really good.

I came in here to rave about how good the shotgun in Resident Evil 4 is, and instead I found unfair dogpiling going on! < >Has another else who's actually played the latest FF verify whether it's good or messy or whatever? I haven't played it, but likening it to Deadly Premonition makes it sound incredibly cool and experimental - which is what a good FF should be, in my opinion.

I do very much appreciate that the Striker frees up the shotgun ammo in your briefcase but I'm more of a Riot Gun guy myself. Love me those focused shotgun blasts.

The TMP is good for conserving ammo by stunning dudes with one leg shot and then kicking/suplexing them, only thanks to the game's dynamic ammo drops conserving ammo just means you get less of it so you may as well go hog wild since it balances out in the end.

I once tried a run where I sold all my weapons except the mine thrower so that I'd get nothing but mine thrower ammo, but I learned very early on that you still get handgun ammo in that case and also that the mine thrower is a really bad weapon

It deals the same amount of damage as a hand grenade, of course ammo is rare. It's handy for sniping, especially in the castle and island.

Every weapon has a use! It's just that some of them, like the mine thrower, have so few uses comparatively that you should tell the merchant to go shove it up his rear end and instead buy a cool handgun.
