Monreal's been one of the most consistent performers for Arsenal over the past couple seasons. That incident with Valencia at OT was a far cry from a clear-cut penalty, and the one he conceded against Bournemouth shouldn't have been given because Wilson tried shoulder barging him and ended up falling over instead. He's been a magnet for contentious decisions this year (see: Jamie Vardy's dive at the Emirates last season), I'll give you that, but he's nothing like how Koscielny was in his first couple seasons. Monreal very rarely goes to ground to make tackles, and even though he's slow he generally has good positioning to make up for it.
