I was just going to reference this. loving Time is so bad. During the 1950s Time was the Fox News of the era, they were hot in pursuit of any reds that needed rooted out of the Army and State Department.

Saying "oh, well, if you say SHE'S the problem, doesn't that mean... triangulation... is good?" is a dumb dodge that might work in pedantland but not in anywhere else. Her message was terrible. Her campaign was terrible. She was terrible. the cascade of failures through the whole thing and the utter failure of the campaign to do basically anything right are gonna be the real story, cause everyone watched trump gently caress up over and over all you gotta do is peruse some fuckin' headlines. It was an utter failure to do anything at all except line the pockets of the people close to the campaign. That's what we thought Trump's candidacy was, and it fuckin' SHOULD'VE been except Hillary's was the goddamn same thing and now his presidency will do it.

For races like this, people have no loving clue who to vote for, you could really win this if you're willing to walk. You should try to find out if other candidates have access to the VAN. If so, find out if you can get it too. It'll dramatically increase your effectiveness.

I'm just going to leave this here:Politico Man watches Bannon documentaries posted:In roughly reverse chronological order, starting with the Robertson doc, I went down the Bannon rabbit hole. Soon, I would realize that the average Bannon film had all the filmic subtlety of an R. Kelly slow jam (beneath a voiceover about Sarah Palin’s many political enemies, we see a man choking another man over a table); all the historicity of a Dan Brown novel (The bank bailouts happened because hippies gathered at Woodstock?) and, in some cases, the shelf life of arugula. The same day I started watching the Robertson film, released to select theaters on October 7—as scooped by Breitbart!—news broke that “Duck Dynasty” had been cancelled.

Well that's the frustrating thing is that it was in some sense a squeaker, there's so many factors that could have been improved any single one could have turned the election around. Sadly we can't change those things about wikileaks, comey, voter suppression etc unless we win elections.

Sadly we can't change those things about wikileaks, comey, voter suppression etc unless we win elections. I mean, there was a ton of stuff that was just so bad on it's face. The 300k to hispanic outreach in Florida despite banking on it to pull the state. Spending more money on ads in California than Ohio. Likewise, wikileaks only mattered because she hosed up. Russia is dumb because Obama had TONS of fake news on him too, including his religion, birthplace, being a gay prostitute in Chicago, etc. It terrifies me that anyone could honestly believe she's not an incredibly lovely candidate or that all the factors were poo poo outside her control, especially given the margins. She trusted her campaign to an automated algorithm while ignoring the pleas of field organizers and local races on the ground in swing states begging for resources, and god help me if there isn't a better metaphor to explain why she will always be a lovely uninspiring person and what people loving hate about democrats. They're always smarter than you until they're not, then somehow it's not their fault. She literally did not have an elevator pitch while running her campaign and all her language was couched in lovely unsure conditional moderate language. Seriously, I guarantee if you polled people asking what her campaign wants to get done, they'd have no loving clue or could even confuse it with Trump if you said it without context. I will never forget when she conceded, then had Podesta come out and speak to the crowds waiting for her. She couldn't be bothered to give them the time of day and sent a lovely lobbyist to handle it. This is someone who was asking the American public to lead them into war if required, and she decided to say 'gently caress it' and call it a night rather than take the stage and tell her people that this isn't over. She posed the question last election she couldn't respond to this one; Who do you want answering that phone at 3am? The answer definitely is not Trump, but it's not her either. And voters voted accordingly.

The primary objective for Democrats is getting back the Obama voting working class whites and reaching out to non-voters. That's by far the best strategy and really the only one as well.
