I really, REALLY want there to be a Fugitive-style TV show where Hillary hikes from small town to small town, fleeing the press and her former allies who are out for her blood, solving problems and just lending a hand, learning a few lessons about humility and life and love in the process.

There could be an episode where she's handcuffed to Bernie Sanders while they're both fleeing from Jill Stein's Apocalyptic Army Of The Night, and they have to figure out how to work together to survive.

Joe Biden is bad at campaigning, but his numbers go up once he's in office! Besides, he's one of the most qualified candidates to ever run for president.

Yeah he's genuinely cool & charismatic and has a history of winning real races even though he got toasted every time he tried to run for President.

Biden's entry into the 1972 U.S. Senate election in Delaware presented a unique circumstance. Longtime Delaware political figure and Republican incumbent Senator J. Caleb Boggs was considering retirement, which would likely have left U.S. Representative Pete du Pont and Wilmington Mayor Harry G. Haskell Jr. in a divisive primary fight. To avoid that, U.S. President Richard M. Nixon helped convince Boggs to run again with full party support.[42] No other Democrat wanted to run against Boggs.[17] Biden's campaign had virtually no money and was given no chance of winning.[12] It was managed by his sister Valerie Biden Owens (who would go on to manage his future campaigns as well) and staffed by other members of his family, and relied upon handed-out newsprint position papers and meeting voters face-to-face;[43] the small size of the state and lack of a major media market made the approach feasible.[38] Biden did receive some assistance from the AFL-CIO and Democratic pollster Patrick Caddell.[17] Biden's campaign issues focused on withdrawal from Vietnam, the environment, civil rights, mass transit, more equitable taxation, health care, the public's dissatisfaction with politics-as-usual, and "change".[17][43] During the summer, Biden trailed by almost 30 percentage points,[17] but his energy level, his attractive young family, and his ability to connect with voters' emotions gave the surging Biden an advantage over the ready-to-retire Boggs.[14] Biden won the November 7, 1972, election in an upset by a margin of 3,162 votes.[43]

Ideally Joe will run in 2020 and be soundly defeated in the primary by a young & hip up-and-comer, then sign on as their VP.

Good enough for Reverend MLK Jr, good enough for me. There's nothing more powerful than the church as bases for community organizing, and there's little more radicalizing leftist material out there than the extremely humanist and antimaterialist teachings attributed to Jesus. Churches are great. Church leadership not always.

Fair enough. Though her influence giving us women's suffrage could still be seen as a positive impact.

Disregarding churches out of hand would be a serious mistake for the left. They are an excellent organization base, and fundamentalist tripe notwithstanding, often exhibit sympathetic values.

Born-again white protestantism(slash prosperity gospel) is essentially a death cult dolled up with jesus in a reagan mask, and is essentially a lost cause. The black and latinx churches(slash liberation theology) do a bunch of legitimately excellent could be our greatest allies if we figure out how to deprogram the lgbt-phobia from them.

Yeah there are cool churches around. Unitarians and such.

Joe Biden should prepare for 2020 by traveling the country and challenging promising young Democrats to a "being cool-competition" then grooming the winners for leadership positions. They can spend the day with Bernie then spend nights with Biden. Warren gets them on weekends. Corey Booker isn't allowed to ever see them.

Actually gently caress it, let's go full reality TV show and produce "So you want to be the next President?" Contestants can compete in community organizing; crafting simple, progressive tax plans; protesting environmentally disastrous Trump plans; and giving rip-roaring speeches judged by how hard the crowd riots afterwards.

Then the winner gets to compete in the primaries. That way we don't have to commit fully to the winner if they're not working out.
