Finally getting around to posting this since I dunno when I'll have the time again. One thing I really appreciated was Dia chewing the group out for trying to get a jump in rankings via a change in costume and then her pointing out that this boost wouldn't really last, which turned out to be true. It's especially meaningful cause we saw Muse try to go down that route when they thought they didn't really have the impact that A-RISE did as they were getting ready for the match against them. Of course, Muse took.... a far more extreme and dysfunctional approach, whereas Of Course took something that could work as an idol group theme. Of course, the issue is that the outfits were just an act, and none of the cast (save Yoshiko) is actually into that stuff beyond Chika thinking it sorta looks cool. In other words, it's a ratings grab and one that doesn't really think too much about the future. If the new outfits and concept had been received well, would Of Course have continued to stick with the concept? Or would they have just switched away once they lost interest? The first, obviously, would be them not being true to themselves, while the second shows insincerity. Cause there's a different between going through different costumes and going through different concepts. And either way, Dia's prediction would have come true either way, just later than expected. In the end, Of Course comes to the same conclusion that Muse came too, and decides not to force a concept. They decide to just be true to themselves. On another note, the theme of the girls feeling that they don't have anything interesting about them continues again. It's what inspired Chika to start the school idol group in the first place, and it's why Yoshiko pretends to be Yohane. In essence, Yoshiko adapted a concept because she wanted to stand out. This, and Dia's aforementioned point about trying to stand out, draws comparisons to Cinderella Girls and it's concepts, as well as Mishiro's (bullshit) claim of wanting to inspire regular / plain girls to admire and want to become idols. Like, Miku's very first statement to the girls of New Generations in episode 2 of CG is, if I recall correctly, asking them what sort of concepts they want to take, telling them that being a cat is already taken. Which opens the way for how concepts play into CG, something I already posted a lot about using Sana as an example. Though not all the idols stick with concepts. New Generations doesn't really have a single concept in the way that Miku or Mika or Riina or Ranko do. Anya is Russian, but it's not really a major part of who she is an an idol. Kaede is the biggest idol in 346, but she's just a top idol whose main thing is that she's really good to her fans. But one thing I don't recall talking about was what you'd do when you have idols with overlapping concepts. Like, Miku is a cat girl idol, but what would happen if you had other idols take on cat traits? Bam, Miku's suddenly looking at competition. I'm pretty sure there's a glasses idol who's thing is literally wearing glasses and making glasses jokes. Haruna or whatever her name was. But glasses? How many idols with glasses are there? Hell, even Miku wears glasses! She's incredibly cute with glasses on! Or them off! Miku is just cute period!!!! I was gonna post more about how Miku treats her concept as a on-the job thing and a professional thing but then I realized I went waaaaaaay off the point I was talking about so I'll leave it here.

The goodies for completing the areas in Parades aren't really that great anyways. The only good stuff is in the very last stages and even those are pretty difficult without multiple SSRs. You can still get all the good stuff by grinding points and you can do that in the beginner areas just as well. Just consider it a point grinding event like a token event or groove with "optional" missions that will give you some extra bonus goodies. Honestly, I like it the way it is. The current difficulty gives a sense of achievement and you can't actually be locked out of the nice rewards even if you do hit a wall.

Any recommendations for which events in there would be good for grinding fans? Like is the 3 song mission gonna give me more or fewer fans for my energy than a 1 song one? also I left you guys comments I think but its not clearing that advent calendar square - top right on the second board. has that changed since the moeidolatry page?

Using the highly scientific method of checking just one place, my gut instinct is that they're all basically the same. 西 2 star 香川 full clear 306 pt 12051人 1 star鳥取 full clear 159 pt (318) 5684人(11368) Actually, in this highly scientific test, you are ever-so-slightly penalized for doing multiple songs at a go points-wise, but not fans-wise. While that does sorta gel with how, for example, token events work, I really don't think that's enough to worry about one way or the other. I'd say the best events would be 上方 1 and 2. Their only requirements are score: 350k total for two songs or 200k for one. That should be reasonably doable (probably the two song one is easier if you're not full of SRs/not playing master?). drat sight better than, for example "at least one FC." Nothing guarantees you will gently caress up quite so well as needing to do it.

If you're not worked about difficulty, I believe the higher cost stamina events are more efficient in terms of fan gain rate per stamina point spent, at least if you can consistently meet the conditions, so just do whatever the most expensive one you're valuable of doing is.

However you're probably not swimming in SRs, so your support team could probably use a boost. For now it might be better to level the two of them separately, if you can swing it. The support team's made of the 10 highest total-appeal idols (for that song) that aren't on your present team, and then you get half of that unit's total appeal added for your overall appeal (the green bit of that bar on the unit select screen). So if you can swing it, having an 'unused' SR+ in there is a pretty nice help, although it'll take a while to level up two SRs and then max affection for both…

Basically star power if you intend on using Miku as your leader, otherwise, it's probably better to use the extras as fusion fodder to potentially level up a better idol's skills. (I still star fuse everyone just cause I'm OCD about these things)

A 2 star card is useless anyways. Don't bother. Either keep the duplicate (for lack of SRs, making a team of a single idol, support member) or use it to boost the skill of another idol since SRs give a huge bonus to that.
