Desperately trying to grind stamina and mythril before this Orfest, because I figure the fest will be a much much better use of stamina than a few additional mythril for Minfilia. 82 stamina so far! More the merrier.

There was someone on that FFRK reddit site talking about how this orbest changed something and stamina refreshes for it aren't "optimal" compared to how they were before. Is it actually a bad idea to stamina refresh this time around for some reason, or is it just spreadsheet-y "this is .5% less efficient" stuff?

The issue is that this orbfest drops tokens for the casino, and those are included in the drop table. Therefore, once you have everything from the casino, it's objectively worse to refresh, since you're getting a much lower rate of actual orb drops than most other orbfests and the drops are taken up by a bunch of excess tokens you can't use. I'd just play normally and drop a few refreshes on any stages you really need, like summon orbs or something. e: Note to new players reading this: do not refresh your stamina for orbfest if you have less than, say, 150 total stamina. Well this turned out better than I had hoped. This plus Edea's ice ssb makes a good start to an ice team. I guess I will be using Serah now. The tiara is a dupe, and I don't think I will combine it yet.

Wow, the new dungeon updates after this one start getting a bit harder, but now they have five rewards per Elite instead of four. They throw in 3* Motes or extra Major Orbs. Pretty cool.

FF14 in a few events, FF Tactics after that, and finally there's an Overstrike Soul Break-themed event coming too, with probably really good banners too.

False alarm guys, I got bored and spent two hours* beating on witches U++ so I could Champion the fight. I think the satisfaction of killing her on "2" was worth it when her triple-defense-broken butt finally dropped was worth it. *Two hours may have been partially spent futzing around on the internet as well.

Ugh this U++ is kicking my rear end, not being able to have the RWed wall up for all 3 rounds keeps getting me murdered. I definitely need it in the first round, and I guess I probably just need to try and skip it for the second, but man. This fight requires an absurd amount of hones. edit: Oh nice, two dollar draw 5-stars in a row. Got Leo's Imperial Highblade this time. It's starting to become absurd how much this game wants me to run a physical holy team. 2 Holy imperils, 2 swords with bonus holy damage, 1 staff with bonus holy damage, and 1 holy mage BSB. What is going on

So how does this "deals more damage against fewer enemies" thing work on the Imperial Highblade? Like I mean the gist is self-evident obviously, but is it base damage that gets stronger against fewer enemies, or is there a damage penalty when facing larger groups? It sounds really good on paper for tough single-target fights, but I'm guessing it's not a huge damage boost.

Hmm, I've got enough wiggle room that I could do a pull here and still probably be on track for everything I have planned, and I really would like to have Indomitable Blade now that I'll be using Celes for her BSB (plus I wouldn't mind getting Shadow's or Relm's stuff too). And the next opportunity won't be until the Celes OSB banner almost six months from now, unless it's on an OSB Fest banner or one of the Anniversary Banners. Not sure, though, feel like I'll regret it if I do.

Decided to whale an 11 pull and it paid off. 3/11: Imperial Highblade, Excalibur, Luminous Robe. Perfect. I finally got a holy boosting sword, along with a Holy imperil. Oh, and I have access to native Runic now. Hot drat.  The Relm robe is a nice thing since I'm using her as my healer anyway and I don't yet have a medica for her. I'm probably using Shout for CM purposes anyway, but more flexibility is always nice.I also don't need to pull on VI banners again for a good long time.
