does anyone have a link to the upcoming press conference that doesn't require registration, an invite, and a password? Or is AMD trying to keep the public rollout secret? (I don't know why, but this wouldn't completely shock me)

Huh, I guess Scorpio is doing something with VR even though I don't remember Microsoft announcing that. Welp, thanks AMD.

HUNDREDS of sensors! I've got to say, I really hope they allow you to disable that dynamic clock speed based on temps. That just seems absolutely awful.

Something about Beating their 40% performance gain predictions, probably based on some sort of single benchmark aimed to make things look good for them. You know. Also "Deep Learning" built into the chip to make it do things faster. It sounds like there are 10 people there total in the "Audience"

Now OC that 6900K and show us what happens. 95 watt TDP isn't bad though.

94% IPC of Broadwell-E, 45w lower TDP :o

6900K (140W) performance at 95W TDP promised, that's a promising start, but we still want to see a bit more than 3.4GHz

I wonder if they will show us benchmarks. I mean, these tests are cool and all, but it doesn't prove anything conclusively.

So at least their base clock is competitive. Even if it only hits 4ghz, IF the price is <$200 vs Intel's comparable chip, that might be one killer buy. That and a Motherboard that doesn't cost $300+ on it's own as well, Just wonder what all the full feature set is going to be for a "Enthusiast" build.. Hmm

So battlefield 1 at 4k on a titan X. Battlefield 1 does like to eat all the processor it can but at 4k it's probably more the gpu than cpu at this point.

Titan X is probably the only card that can reliably push 4K at the mentioned 60-70FPS. e: This beautiful man Michael Pavlovich is the best part of the demo. It's like he walked off a plinth in the Vatican Museum.

I don't know how to feel anymore. It looks promising, but I am inherently skeptical of anything with machine learning going on in it. (Artificial intelligence is genuinely stupid, I always say, who knows how much longer I'll be able to say that, though.) I am curious if the machine learning bits are pre-optimized prefetch and branch prediction _algorithms_ that were machine-learned that are relatively static baked in, or if there is active refinement of the branch prediction and prefetch actually self-refines over time. Blender and Handbrake tests seem relatively-free of shenanigans, even if anyone sane would be offloading to GPU instead. I think all I want to know now is the price. I hope AMD finally pushes Intel to make 6 or 8 cores the new enthusiast "consumer" standard for the $200-300 price range. So far it looks promising
