If I can't kick a man in the face in them, the pants are too tight. As for laptops, I'd have suggested something from MSI over the Dell. I have a several year old GE70 and it's still amazing today for like $800 at the time. Their current offerings in the $800 range probably make it look like a Kindle by comparison.

Not saying that the "minimalist" covers are outstanding works of art, but they leave some room for curiosity ("Why the hell does Santa have tusks on this book?"). The Kirby covers are just so busy and so genre-centric that people who might otherwise like the books, I've found, pass them by on the shelf because they look like little D&D manuals. I agree, the Kirby colors are terrible and the minimalist ones are fine and leave most to the imagination, to the benefit of the text.

Bought 80 cherry mx green keyswitches before thanksgiving and they finally made it to me from Hong Kong. And some vinyl wrap that looks like white carbon fiber. Finally have everything I need to build another ergodox infinity keyboard. Also bought a week at a resort in the Dominican Republic to wash the taste of 2016 out of my mouth. With rum drinks.

We stayed at that exact resort for our honeymoon a couple years ago over Thanksgiving. It was the most fantastic and carefree vacation experience I ever had. They had a special Thanksgiving dinner and there were live turkeys walking around and a monkey to take pictures with. I hope you got a club level room. The club lounge is a fantastic little hideaway and they always have some different type of snacks in there along with top shelf liquor.

You should return that and get this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00P79ZQIA some extra batteries and a propeller pack. That way you can get far more flight time per hour than that little orange thing. If you really want to dip into some FPV (looks like the orange thing does FPV) get this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00GSNWB5K some extra batteries and a propeller pack. Kilazar posted:You should return that and get this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00P79ZQIA some extra batteries and a propeller pack. Fun story: I got one of those Hubsan quads last year. About 30 seconds into the maiden flight, it got too high for me to see which direction it was going (fpv would have made this a lot easier). I tried bringing it back to me before I brought it down because I didn't want to land it in someone's pool or something before completely losing sight of it. I searched the skies for it for a few minutes while fiddling with the controls before giving up in a fit of cursing. The next day a guy drives up to my house with a laptop in his car. He had found it on the other side of the neighborhood, and used the video to retrace where it came from. He gave it to my daughter so I never got to thank him. Ended up with a pretty cool video of the neighborhood and surrounding area. That little Hubsan will fly dangerously high if you let it.

I just cut throttle and let it drop if I get to high to tell orientation. I don't have a cam model though. So a 100+ foot drop might not be good on those. Mine is the no cam at all version. I don't tend to fly for height though. I fly speed and obstacles with mine. I might head up 70 or so feet just to get a good speed boost on the arc down. But that is about as high as I fly mine. .

These little ones are only good for goofing off. The video quality is not good enough for inspections. *Edit* post is not edit..

Kilazar posted:Bet that was a really cool video Yeah it basically auto-rotated into the sidewalk from 100 feet + up. One of the motor struts was popped out place but I was able to snap it right back in. I don't think any of the props took any real damage even. I have the video at home, I'll see if can get a screen grab from it's highest point, it was pretty impressive. The video was a full hour long, but 55 minutes or so was of it laying on the sidewalk upside down while people walked by and cars drove past.
