Geoj posted:Your insurance will pay them but what is covered and at what percentage depends on if the doctor is in network (basically means they've negotiated to accept lower payments per service under the assumption that being "in network" will drive in more patients) or out of network. I'm on an HMO with a company that primarily handles Medicaid in my state. Absolutely nothing is covered out of network, except for emergency room visits (but hospital stays are not unless in-network). Supposedly urgent care places are covered even if not in network, but I haven't looked into if I have to pay them up front and get reimbursed, or if they handle it for me. e: I just looked at their formulary trying to figure out why my cholesterol medication isn't covered (retail for it is $135 for generic, and it's a medication that came out in 1975! - Goodrx.com found a coupon that brings it down to $32, but preferred generics are $2/mo w/insurance). Turns out it is covered... in every dosage available except the one I'm on. Hopefully my cholesterol is down enough that I can either get off of it or lower my dosage. If it's not, the next higher dosage is only an extra 15 mg (I'm on 140mg now). IOwnCalculus posted:And that's before you get to the fact that this varies by insurance plan, not even just company. I put my wife and kid on a Marketplace plan that was offered through the exact same provider as the one I get through work, because while my company pays for my insurance, I have to pay through the nose to add them. Turns out that they made the marketplace plan cheaper by absolutely loving gutting the number of providers that accept it, so it was basically useless outside of catastrophic coverage. UT Southwestern flat out said they won't accept any marketplace plan, even if it's from major companies such as Blue Cross Blue Shield or United Healthcare. UTSW is basically where you go for heart issues in Dallas. And yeah... when I first got a marketplace plan, the network was the same as it was for people that had the same carrier but a workplace or group plan. The next year, the providers who would take the same plan went down to less than half, but still took the same carrier's group plans.

Also drinking to fall asleep is bad, I find going to the gym and lifting poo poo for an hour puts me right the gently caress to bed within minutes.

Luckily Subarus have such dogshit brakes that by the time you're going for the brakes you've already exhausted all other options. At that point it might as well be a pair of water wings stowed inside an Apollo capsule. Seat Safety Switch fucked around with this message at 16:22 on Dec 15, 2016 |

Holy poo poo, basketball is hard. Haven't shot a basketball at a hoop since 2002 and decided to fill in for a rec league team last night and got not-quite thoroughly embarrassed. I'm 6' 7", weigh maybe 200lbs, and can still dunk even though I've lost roughly 6" off my vertical leap since high school. Learned (well, re-learned) that I'm not able to move anyone around because I'm not big enough A dude last night was giving me horrible flashbacks to when I was playing in high school and was getting laughed at by a dude who kept shoving me down to the floor like a rag doll when the refs weren't looking. Couldn't do anything because he was a jerk who outweighed me by like 50 pounds and I was a weak dweeb who just wanted to play basketball.

kastein posted:AWD or 4wd is fun that way but I had to practice some before it really sank in that I couldn't steer or brake any better than anyone else. Steering in snow, I find that rwd tends to understeer while fwd or awd will happily pull the front end around to the point where you can influence the angle of the velocity vector of your vehicle some. Of course if you're in a situation where you're sliding and pointing the wheels and stomping on the gas is your best bet, you've exceeded the envelope for normal driving. That technique kept me from hitting an suv parked on the street over the weekend, so it's good to know.

RWD understeers til you apply throttle. Apply throttle, and correct your steering.

I only know this because I deleted my yahoo account years and years ago, and completely forgot I had it. A decade later, I re-signed up with my desired name but 100% different info. Then, my birthday after that, got emails from forums I hadn't used since 2001. Looked it up, and apparently it's policy they have. The big reddit thread is full of similar tales, as well as links to their policy docs.

Another thing to be worried about, Amazon's security is garbage. My girlfriend changed her associated email and she was later hacked but since the card was expired nothing came of it. But she was unable to recover her account. I registered my Amazon account with my yahoo email back in 2002 and despite numerous breach attempts I have always gotten control back because I still have that original yahoo account dating back 14 years. I've read of similar incidents where people have lost access to their AP accounts after a email change and a hack.
