Went into the Verizon store. Thankfully I got a call while I was talking to him and it did it so I didn't have to plead my case too hard. That said he didn't swap the SIM card even after me saying I'd do it myself saying "it'll activate in a few minutes". It still hasn't activated

Nostalgia4Infinity posted:Ok so I got this SE. Every so often the screen is unresponsive. Like I can't press things on the screen, it won't swipe, etc. Locking the phone via the power button fixes it but it's annoying and there's a 50/50 chance that it'll happen when I get a phone call so I can't swipe to answer the phone and it has to go to voicemail -- not ideal for a work phone. edit: nevermind, it sounds like you got it sorted out.

Delete the conversation, it'll purge all the images from that chat. Otherwise maybe some iexplorer type tool can do it, but there's no iOS way to do it.

So my iphone 6 battery still lasts a long while but anything <10% and it can die, but also can last 20 mins at 1%. Is there any possible fix? or only a new battery? It's also on 9.3.3 if it matters I'm gonna sell it but can't with a clear conscious without mentioning so I'll probably just knock some cash off

Checking again, is it worth it to pay $300 for an iphone6 replacement? Mine's 128GB I'm not sure if the guy at the apple store factored that in when he quoted the price or if it's always $300 to replace it out of warranty. Or would I be better off getting it repaired? Sebadoh Gigante posted:I went to the apple store to get my iphone 6 looked at for GPS issues and they suggested resetting, which I did, but that didn't solve the problem. They also pointed out that the phone was slightly bent near the volume buttons, which I hadn't noticed earlier, and said it could be a hardware issue, but they can't replace the antenna in store. I'm out of warranty but they said I could get a replacement for $300. What are my other options?

Mine's 128GB I'm not sure if the guy at the apple store factored that in when he quoted the price or if it's always $300 to replace it out of warranty. $299 is the cost for any capacity iPhone 6 out of warranty replacement. If you can find a repair shop that can do it, you could try an antenna replacement. I know my shop can't do that one because our suppliers don't stock the parts. But if you find a shop that can get it through their suppliers or eBay or whatever, it might be worth a shot. The issue is that if it doesn't work, then you're paying for a repair plus a replacement. If you got the 6 when it was fairly new, you can probably upgrade to a 6S or 7 at this point instead of replacing it. The cost of a used iPhone 6 128gb seems to be hovering around $350 at the moment, so unless you're planning on holding onto it until it falls apart as opposed to trading it in, you probably wouldn't get $300 back selling it later. Plus no guarantee another 6 wont wind up with GPS issues or bending, since both seem to be fairly common.

Idk if it's been brought up a million times but I went from 10.1.1 to 10.2 on my 6s and my battery life is about half to 2/3 what it was. I unplugged it around noon at a full charge and it's already down to 65% using it only for texting and a little forums browsing. It definitely didn't poo poo itself until 2 days ago immediately after I updated.

Does Mario Run occasionally hang for a few frames for anyone else? I'm on an SE so I should have near the top performance. I don't play enough games on it to have a comparison. I bought the full game, I will say the levels actually do get better and present somewhat of a challenge, unlike the demo levels. The coin challenges add a reasonable amount of replay value . I feel like there should have been the standard 8 "worlds", giving 32 levels, but overall I think they did the right thing, its definitely a phone game but still distinctly a Mario game and better than most phone games. Nostalgia4Infinity posted:Have you tried turning off battery %? I actually did this now that I have a Plus. I was ending days with like 85-90% battery, so I was like, who cares? But now I'm playing a lot of Super Mario Run and using Procamera & Snapseed often for RAW photo capture/processing, and that straight up murders my battery. I actually had to plug my phone in midway through the day today.

My wife has a new iPhone 7 that seems to stop accepting input on the lock screen after turning it on occasionally. The only way to fix it, is to hold down VOL-DOWN and WAKE/UNLOCK until it force reboots. Should I bring this back to the Apple store, or is there something else I can try?

I bought some airpods at the Apple store today. I'm impressed. The case is much smaller than I expected - about the size of a small dental floss container. The lid is magnetic the hinge feels pretty strong. The headphones themselves feel just like the regular earpods - I can't really tell the difference. I really like how you can pause audio by pulling one of the airpods out of your ear, and the audio will restart when you put it back in.

My work phone (5s) updated to 10.2 which made me realise my personal phone (6s) hasn't updated for a while - it's still on 10.0.2. The update isn't appearing in Settings at all. I remember the same issue when 10.0.0 came out - I had to update over iTunes but that caused a ton of issues and took like 3 hours as the process kept cancelling. Any ideas for getting updates to start appearing? I already restored to get 10.0.2 as that wouldn't update either. All my googling brings up forum posts telling people to restart their phone, only try over wifi, sign in/out of iCloud, which I've done. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the beta software - I used to be on the beta program but de-enrolled as I kept getting notifications for betas I didn't want. Since then I'm not getting updates for full releases.
