what a fun pair of episodes. I greatly enjoyed ( but was totally unsurprised by ) the contrast of how each show approached their car. MCM: "Let's make a ridiculous car and do the best we can with limited time and money." Roadkill: "Let's cobble together a bunch of rusty old poo poo and thrash on it until something breaks."

I'm hoping that the trip will encourage MCM to try some things outside the usual "upgrade injectors, add a haltech, and maybe a bigger turbo" and have a go at some other things. It had lapbelts at least, I think the MCM guys were too young/sheltered to know to look for them at the start but you can see they have them on during the autocross.

Maybe they could add a supercharger to a MkIII Mini or drop a H6 turbo with STI driveline and do a full repaint and interior on a Liberty, or they could take a S15 and turn it into a V8 Mad Max inspired crate or they could build a sleeper from a stock Beetle or a DIY show car? I'd love to see them do that!
