Dark Souls has some good black knights, both the literal "black knight" bad guys and some named dudes.

My favorite of the named dudes is Iron Tarkus.

Dear Goons, in the new year I will be running a fantasy western game and am looking for pieces of inspiration.

The "fantasy" part is non-Tolkeinesque, so while pictures of elves in cowboy hats are OK, I'm more looking for something out of China Mieville's Iron Council or a low-tech version of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath.

Oh, sorry, I put that a bit poorly. I meant lower tech than Stramger's Wrath, which is a kind of sci-fi. So guns, telegrams and trains are a go!

(for the curious, and if it helps, the warforged is a cleric of the forge)
