The last time someone had hat tricks in consecutive Serie A games was in 1974.

I read that and 1994. Either way, very impressive.

Belotti has just scored a penalty apparently. I'm watching on RAI and they're saying every station is having problems. Somebody make a "ehi uaglió, bel cavo oh" meme.

E: may not have been a penalty

What was that for anyway, the kick in the face or the push on Falque?

Wish I had watched that match since the other one was a foregone conclusion from the beginning.

Even after that win Crotone and Palermo are still 5 points from safety, I thought it was a lot closer, yikes.

Bonucci signed a contract extension through 2021 today.

It looks like Juve are going to buy Caldara from Atalanta for €20m in January and then leave him on loan. He has been pretty good, but that's a hefty price. But even Marotta was talking about it in a press conference today, so it seems like it's going to happen.

He also said they're trying to finalize a deal with Zenit for Witsel in January.

Imo that's a steal for Caldara. He's very good (now at least).

I guess that's the going rate for a good, young Italian defender these days. Having him and Rugani locked down is a good base to build on.

Unrelated: Mandzukic continues to be awesome

Nah, no way man. Instead of offloading dead-wood like him or Nagatomo, the papers are reporting that we'll get rid of actually talented footballers like Banega (won't happen) and Jovetic (will happen). Nothing about Ranocchia.

It's quite maddening how many chances he's gotten, but we are short-stacked in defense. Personally, I'd like to see Andreolli be first in line, but something about doing the opposite of logic at Inter these last 4-5 years is like a hand in glove.

On the subject of Jovetic; canepazzo and Soulex - what are your feelings on a straight Jovetic-Badelj swap? I'd take it in a heartbeat, and I'd imagine you would do the same, no?

Soulex

Cacati in mano e pigliati a schiaffi!

I would not. Jovetic is good but we cannot sustain his wage bill nor is there really room for another streaky forward in our line ups. Honestly, I would do a Banega-Badelj or a Melo. Why Melo? Because having a bruiser might not be a bad idea for some matches against bigger names like Juve and Roma and make them respect our midfield a bit more. Plus we used to be dominate in midfield but with Badelj, one of our top midfielders, leaving it would be smart to find a replacement or a defender because we need both.

Or Handanovic. Give us that loving majestic man

Ask me about Game Pass: the Best Deal in Gaming!
With all the dumb money coming out of China at the moment I wonder how easy it would be for a financially struggling squad with an unhappy player the meet in the middle and just conspire to get him crazy money over there. I guarantee if someone like Jovetic said "I've always loved China, and I think the league's growth has been fantastic" there would be a 40 million dollar bid in the next day.

canepazzo
May 29, 2006

Honestly if Inter is going for James Rodriguez like they're saying, they can do better than Badelj. I'd take Jovetic tho, without the swap.
