Yes. Woolly World is the Yoshi's Island sequel that doesn't suck.

Didn't they also have to make the game easier so that it could even be playable with its new touch controls?

I bought Final Fantasy Dimensions for my iPad back around the holidays last year, and I also have Silversword which is basically Bard's Tale: Less rear end in a top hat Modern Interpretation. Neither game hardly requires quick, sharp movements, but I just find playing them with touch controls to be so awkward. Not being able to feel the interface is like trying to button up a cardigan when your arms have gone numb. I'm happy with the tenner that I spent on Run, but I honestly would not want to play a traditional Mario platformer on a touch device. I think that Nintendo knew that, and this is where things ended up. Touch controls really only work with one-handed games (insert masturbation joke here) that don't require complex back-and-forth movement. Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja leap to mind. As another example, I'm a huge fan of that old twin-stick arcade game Karate Champ. There is a port of it for iOS, and it's very well done, but playing it is intolerable because I can't feel where the virtual sticks are and my fingers will often "slip off" without me knowing it. However, if I play that same game in MAME with a twin analogue pad and it's just as fun now as it was in the 80s.

Suddenly got a J4Y 25% discount on Monhun Generations. On the one hand, it's 25% off while it's still so new it offers a theme. On the other hand, it's Monhun, and the demo was basically "You're a cat, now slap that lizard for 30 minutes." I'd love to be a cat and slap lizards, but holy crap are there ways to craft poo poo letting you kill bosses quickly?

PAL update (week of December 22):quote:WII U eSHOP DOWNLOADS Note the Nintendo DLC sales: 25% off Mario Kart 8 DLC and 30% off all Fire Emblem Fates DLC, including Birthright/Conquest/Revelations. The new Shantae game is quite good and I've heard the Wii U version is actually the smoothest of the console ports with regards to framerate, but it doesn't do anything interesting with the gamepad - no map, no menus, it just mirrors the screen. It'll probably end up being the last third-party Wii U game worth a drat, so have at it. Reminder for Europeans, Amazon DE has the retail versions of Fast Racing Neo (game & DLC) and Steamworld Collection (Dig & Heist & DLC) for 9.97EUR each: https://www.amazon.de/b/ref=lp_6734...node=6734243031

You can directly craft for the cat then bring two other cats along, and there's a more traditional RPG skill wrangling system for the cats. Creating weapons for your main guy yields bonus parts for cat items in addition.

Online stuff you can cat, depending on how good you are and/or how competent your group is.
