Boy, I get why people troll in this game- there are some real life or death try hards in ranked, I can't imagine being a pro player and dealing with people like that.

It's actually insanely fun playing with other people who also want to win.

People in ranked think they want to win, but they don't really. They intentionally or unintentionally sabotage themselves and their team by doing, saying, or being poo poo.

Playing with a team who understand things like "everyone pull back and don't push while our bat rider is 100g away from blink" is not HARD, but it's not common, either. It's a blessing to have some legit dota buddies.

I know it's a contrary opinion but I've been having a ton of fun this patch. A few of the UI things are a little annoying but they don't really bother me, and the gameplay has been a lot of fun. Anecdotally, I'm playing more and my friends are playing more too.

Yesterday I was playing lanaya and kicking the poo poo out of a nevermore mid. monkey king shows up and i see him getting into his perch and charging up. like a total baws i stepped back and dodged his leap. i pop refraction and blast his coconuts off with a savage sick meldstrike. i am thinking this mother fucker is Owned. Needless to say he starts walloping me with his big kilik stick and his mega life steal hit procs and bam he's at full hp. well one thing leads to another and im dead and my compy monitor is embedded in the drywall. Thanks Icefrog.

Just saw the picture and thought it was funny.

That said, the scoreboard definitely has no reason to be as big as it is, and the shop UI should default to a single tab with the main set of items instead of what we have right now.

I'm actually slightly surprised that they nerfed the obviously broken hero that people weren't bitching about the most and only gave MK a few minor tweaks. He should be much easier to lane against now. Visage is apparently not allowed to split push ever now unless you want to feed

Definitely way better. I really dislike the respawn reduction timers, though. Even with Prophet being a prime candidate for such a talent to be effective due to his teleport, I wish the other choice was something different, that rewards or allows for good play rather than something that reduces the punishment on bad play,

I'm surprised MK's passive didn't get hit harder. I know I'm grossly unqualified to talk about balance but it seemed to me that most of his ridiculousness came from the absurd amount of free damage/lifesteal and how it worked with Boundless strike.

necro's not any worse than he was before but he fits a fun new niche of dumpstering physical carries who think they can jump on him. he's kind of a different flavour of pugna now, but lacks the strong tower damage that hero brings. I imagine you'd pick him in a scenario where you want to really win a lane and the enemy have a scary core. he also brings a lot of sustain to pushes and team fights.

Death timer reduction doesn't reward bad play - getting smoke ganked at 50minutes doesn't necessarily mean you were playing poorly, if anything on a lot of supports tanking a smoke with a respawn reduction timer talent would be considered a great play.

I think the level 1 nerf is excessive but at 3 it doesn't seem so bad - with 4 stacks of level 4 cloak and appropriate itemization (AC/pipe/greaves) no one will have the time to focus the familiars in a fight - but yeah split pushing with the familiars seems "over". At level 1 when you only usually have 1 level of cloak the familiars are going to die fast, wonder if a 1-1-3-1 build is in order now.
