Well What Now posted:honestly I have way more affection for deranged amateur garbage like Manos than I do for most major studio films This. Manos was at least something a guy who never made a film before made and was at least trying to make something interesting. Then you have these $200 million turds with the best people in the industry behind them and they're still garbage.

canned from the band posted:dont forget about food fight: Everything about that movie is inexplicable. An experienced cast, most of which could get better parts with little effort. Product placement mascots that don't actually do anything alongside generic characters. Best part of Food Fight was its strange journey to completion, eventually being pushed across the direct to video finish line nearly a decade after its scheduled theatrical release at the hands of the insurance company.

Food Fight is the worst movie, but not the best worst, the worst worst. Painfully executed and absolutely repugnant in content from start to finish. I've never had such a bad taste in my mouth after seeing a movie.

What I don't get about fiascos like Foodfight! and Accidental Love is that they have to know they'll never make their investment back by the time the film defaults to the insurance people. Why not hand over everything to some creative people to do something interesting for the same amount of money?

Bloodsport is based on a true life story, by which I mean obvious lies, featuring Van Damme's wooden acting and a hella jacked top heel, but I love everything about it. I also like Kickboxer. It's me, I'm the one who likes bad 80s and 90s action movies.

Did anybody ever see the Warlock movies with Julian Sands. First one is an unremarkable cross between Terminator and Highlander but the second, in my view, suits this thread.

I can't decide my favorite between Tromeo and Juliet and The Toxic Avenger. I completely concur with the imdb reviewer on the former that it's "Romeo and Juliet...on acid."

Popeye the Movie. The set is still alive and well (in Malta, I think?), the scenery and art direction are surprisingly good, and you get to see Robin Williams playing Popeye. Oh, and everything is food.

There's one called Primal Force which was a TV movie starring Ron Perlman (this should tell you all you need to know, but I will continue) from about 2000 or so. The premise was that a plane carrying a corrupt tycoon's daughter crashes on an island, and Ron Perlman plays a hardened mercenary who's the only person ever to set foot on the island and return alive, who leads a team to get her back. The catch is that many years ago, said corrupt tycoon financed illegal experiments on the island which went wrong, and now the island is overrun with this savage pack of killer mutant baboons. The climax involves Ron Perlman having a knife fight with one of the baboons.

Can anyone remember a flick from the 70s or 80s in which a character had a conversion van they were super-proud of but then someone (I think the owner with an eating problem) stuffs the console with marshmallows and they melt? That one. Also Cobra.
