I don't remember Samara saying there were 'only 3' Yakshis, just that all of her daughters were them.

She does - she says "As far as I know, only three exist today. Two chose a life of seclusion. The third ran." Then once she discloses that Morinth is her daughter, if Shepard asks her how many children she has, she says "Three. And three Ardat-Yakshi are in existence today. It is as it sounds."

It could be the truth as she knows it, it could be a retcon, it could sort of not matter.

quote:

Samara: As far as I know, only three exist today. Two chose a life of seclusion. The third ran.
...
Shepard: You said this is genetic. How many children do you have?
Samara: Three. And three Ardat-Yakshi are in existence today. It is as it sounds.

 to me the simplest explanation is the ME3 writers chose to discard that because of what they wanted to do on the monastery mission and/or with banshees. And so, whatever.

Change it so that Mornith is more like Dexter.

She knows she has to kill but she tries to do good by targeting bad people like gang leaders, warlords, and drug dealers.

And in their confrontation, have Mornith point out that while she has a compulsion, she's making an effort to change or to redirect it. If you do something that goes against The Code, Samara will kill without a second thought, because she's that devoted to The Code.

Make Morinth more like Batman and use the "logic" of the writers behind Mass Effect 3. Such that Morinth killed her Parent, and since a criminal killed her mom, she fights (and kills) other criminals so that no other criminal has to go through the act of killing their own parents.

The cycle continues...

There was no monastery to talk about in ME2. Bioware wanted a better reason for Banshees than "Reapers did it" and retconned it in.

Yes, playing multiplayer will increase the readiness percentage. It isn't necessary to get all the endings, anymore.

I figured. Don't need to do that, thankfully. I've got like 7000 war assets, when all you need are 3500 for maximum Destroy.

No, this isn't true. Even aside from the image Seemlar posted, Samara herself tells you about it. A life of seclusion, I believe, is the exact phrase she uses, but it's there.

Multiplayer and the defunct phone games - Infiltrator and Datapad. The N7HQ site lets you raise readiness without playing MP, you just click on some poo poo and wait - it basically replaced Datapad. http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/N7_HQ#Galaxy_at_War

Dexter is terrible but Bioware would find a way to top it. It is really okay if Morinth embraces what a monster she is given the rest of the asari are portrayed as zealots, strippers, or snooty aristocrats. It is another side of the space elf coin.

Yo, that clone boss final battle royale in Citadel dlc is fuckin' hard as gently caress when you're an awesome Vanguard. She just keeps teleporting and then throwing nova blasts all day.

And the hot black chick just won't stay fuckin dead. she's come back to life like four times now and the Clone just constantly keeps regaining health. The mooks keep reappearing as well.

I don't even get it - I don't remember what I did way back in 2013 to beat this...is it like just a time thing - hold out for X minutes and then you win?

It's pretty tough and fun but then  it just doesn't stop?

Evil Shepard has 5 packs of medigel, same as regular Shepard. You need to kill her until her stock runs out to win. She can also revive her partner when she goes down, but that gives you a chance to pummel them both. Just focus on Shepard.

The clone has a certain number of Medi-gels, not sure if it changes based on difficulty level, and you have to get them to use them all up by wearing their health down each time, once they have none left and you wear them down again a cutscene should trigger.
There should be a display on screen saying how many medi-gels the clone has.
It's a fun fight, having all your own dirty tricks thrown back at you! This is what the rest of the galaxy experiences when Shepard comes to town!

I did those missions yesterday so it stuck out as an inconsistency.
It's a minor thing but as we were talking about them it brought it to mind.
I think the retcon is actually better as it makes sense that there would be more than just 3 of them around, that would make them too rare and 'special'.

I remember that line because it was a great scene with excellent voice work on the delivery.

Another fine thing ruined by ME3 :argh:

I sometimes wonder if she got the robot body because Tricia Helfer is great and they wanted her more involved in the game than the ship based stuff. Well at least I'd like to think it's that and not the more likely "sexy robot body" reason.

IN Synthesis the robot tells you that the Reaper "civilizations" within each reaper will be shared amongst the rest of the poeple in the Universe and I'm just thinking like, if there's anything left that's recognizably cognizant within those reapers then they must be living some I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream life in there, what with the literally evil poo poo the reapers have been doing for millions of years.

I don't think the rest of the Galaxy would appreciate a bunch of old civilizations/alien races screaming their digital voices raw from accumulated horror.

What if every cycle inside the reapers is basically living in the Matrix but without the red-pill option, and from their perspective civilization has continued without the reapers?

What is Andromeda is just that...but for this cycle? :tinfoil:

^^^ That is a terrible design practice and I despise Bioware games for using it.

I never romanced anyone in this playthrough (I try to avoid most Bioware romances), but it might have been appropriate for Liara, in London at the very end, to take on your DNA randomizer and get pregnant or whatever (after asking you) instead of just showing you some weird memory.

I'd have allowed that if you guys were good friends and poo poo. We all knew Shepard wasn't coming back from that final assault into the Citadel.
