Cats sometimes will start attacking people for stupid cat reasons. My mom had one of her cats start doing that at one point, and I had to tell her it's ok to put it down. Your job as cat lady doesn't involve letting kitty cut up your face every few months.

Most cats will bite the poo poo out of things making high pitched noises because it hurts their ears. Or was the case when my normally placid and lazy gently caress of a cat suddenly affixed itself to my rear end meat as I whistled down the hallway. Good kitty still 7/10, do miss her.

It's just a couple scratches, big deal. Of course they look nasty when they are still bloody and not cleaned up, but he's not a baby, he'll live. The cat doesn't deserve to die, but the owners definitely should keep a closer eye on it around their spastic child. If he really does have autism then I'm sure this isn't the first time he's pissed off the cat so they should have known better.
