"Release Robin's Bra" is the best Howard Stern holiday song, but I can't get "Eric the TV show killer" out of my head. Rest in peace, wack packers.

How do you stay that fat snorting coke? Seriously, I had a friend that lost 50bs in 2 months by taking a few toots and doing DDR on his Wii. I also have no idea how Artie gained weight snorting junk. The only drug I ever gained weight on was weed.

That's why Artie can do drugs yet gain weight, and why the people working for the show think Howard can blackball them from the entire entertainment industry despite people doing better after they leave the show. I would fear more for my career if Billy West didn't like me than Howard Stern.

Your friends are probably 22 where it is easy to lose weight It's hard when you hit 35 and after even if you do drugs

Fun fact: people who are addicts tend to funnel their money towards their addiction which can lead to "dinner or drugs?" decisions which can lead to them not eating. Wealthy addicts can still afford both. Coke or meth isn't some magic calorie eliminator, the people on them just tend to decide to get high rather than eat so they just starve themselves. If you eat 4000 calories a day coke isn't going to magically remove 3500 from the equation.

Look! A Horse! posted:dude. Cocaine, meth, and heroin all act as appetite suppressants. It's not all about income inequality. I can sort of maybe attest to this; I take Dexedrine for ADD, which is actually Dexedrine Amphetamine, and while now I'm only on 10mg daily (well, whatever day I decide to take it) and still eat, I used to be on 15mg, and my appetite went out the window. Kind of sucked, because when you come down from that, at the end of the day, you either feel extremely hungry, grumpy, or both. It's terrible. 10mg still allows for me to get hungry at normal times. Edit: I mean, as bad as 15mg was, it wasn't enough to make me want to walk to St Louis in a weekend. Rupert Buttermilk fucked around with this message at 19:26 on Dec 26, 2016 |

Elvis, Belushi, Farley, Artie, etc. People that like to eat will still eat whether or not they're on drugs provided they can afford it. Like I said, those drugs don't magically remove calories. Food addiction is every bit as real as a heroin addiction so no, Artie wasn't cleaning out Steak n' Shake when he was high but when he came down he ate and drank. The chemical responses your brain gets are very similar to drug use, it's the reason a lot of people gain weight after quitting drugs because they replace one reward for another. In Artie's case he's double dipping. I'm not saying poor skinny people become fat on drugs, I'm saying rich fat people can stay fat on drugs. BobbyK posted:Who is Wood Yi and why is it suppose to be funny? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKuMWCpxoj4 It's a bad Woody Allen impression done by a guy named Steve Fried who was an engineer at K-ROCK. I'm pretty sure that's the guy's real voice and they would just write things down for him to say. And yes that is Billy West which should tell you how long they've been doing this. I think they may have done it once or twice at Sirius as Steve sill worked for CBS radio. In typical fashion they (CBS) fired the guy a few years before he was to retire.

He was a very shy guy and actually didn't want to do the bits because it was embarrassing to him but did because he liked Howard a lot. They wrote some drat funny stuff for him, especially when they had an Asian celeb or model in studio.

The best was when they roasted Howard during his divorce and KC brought in Wood Yi as a special guest roaster. Wood Yi started by saying "stop crying about your wife, you sound like a pussy human being" and then Howard dumped the rest of it and made Wood Yi leave. I can only imagine what else he said.

I know this thread is for HSS, but does anyone listen to Artie Quitter? I haven't listened to Stern in years and just now getting into more podcasts but Artie was always my favorite from the show so I'm curious what others here think of it. Worth the subscription? Best episodes to download? I did download a few of the recent free shows and they were OK. Artie needs a host like Howard who can run the show while he riffs on the side. He was a genius at it. Some of the people he has on his podcast are pretty boring. Not sure if the other episodes you only get access to for being a subscriber are higher in quality.

Most are terrible but if he has a good guest like Jackie it's hilarious and a must listen. Jackie was on twice last week. I listen to it when I see it on youtube. Usually I'll get annoyed with Mario's voice and laugh and turn it off quickly. I wouldn't pay for it. I absolutely would if he had someone like Gilbert or Stuttering John or Jackie on permanently though.
