This may sound heretical but I kind of hate how mobile the reapers are. It kind of sucks having to run in a panic late match when one jumps up 50 feet to the roof you're on.

What's truly bullshit about reapers is the damage they do. Especially when there's two of them and you're dealing with a titan.

One thing I find weird that could just be a mistake in my perception is how ineffective AT weapons are against Reapers. I feel like on foot I can do more damage reliably to a Titan than I ever can a Reaper

This. So much. they are way to resilient against AT weapons.

Yup. It takes 2 full sets of MGL grenades to take down a single reaper. What's worse is that unlike getting shots on enemy titans, hits don't count towards your Titan build meter, only a reaper kill will build up your meter. What's even worse is when a friendly AI reaper will get that last shot on that enemy reaper before you can, so congrats, you just wasted 30 seconds not working towards your titan.

Friend or foe, Reapers are the worst.

Hahaha yes this. This has happened so much where I take on a reaper on foot and then the kill shot is done by some loving AI reaper. It should take one full set of MGL grenades to take a reaper down. NO MORE!. Also its kind of ridiculous how when a couple reapers drop near you and you're in a titan you really do have to take care of htem as they can really take down your health quick if you don't take care of them.

Not heretical at all. Those guys can dash like 3 or 4 times within a couple of seconds if they feel like they need to. I especially notice it playing as Scorch and when there is a large area of damage, the Reapers will just dash back and forth trying to get out of it.

Taking down a reaper on foot is such a bitch and it always feels like I'll do 90% damage on one and it starts to feel like an earned victory since they can kill you in one hit...then some friendly Titan walks over steps on it or punches it and takes the points for himself.

So I've found that I can reliably hack spectres by just holding the button even when the prompt isn't visible, but I"m not sure it's tactically advantageous to do so - Aren't I just creating more spectres for the enemy to kill and get points from?

Use SMGs and never aim down sights. Consider buying the low profile perk, it lets you rodeo silently. The Alternator and the Volt are great, but the default SMG and AR are both fine. No Titan is bad, but Tone is widely acknowledged as the easiest to play as.

One thing I'm unclear about is after a match has gone final, I know if you kill someone it isn't reflected in your score, but does it count for all other purposes? Like total kill counts and XP after the match? I just don't pay enough attention and then its over and I'm not sure.

I will just always and forever miss the majority of Titanfall 1 maps. At least until they actually add them in and I realize how much I hated them. But I still do want to play some of them, even if they weren't direct ports as much as they were remakes and reinterpretations of stuff like the Hamond Robotics labs.

I'm not a big fan but I do appreciate how many options for Pilots there are when you face off against a Titan. in my opinion, the current slate of maps makes facing off against a Titan hard (as it should be) but often too exposed if you're a pilot.

I've gone back and forth on Angel City but currently I like it. I don't feel like I get sniped much anymore as I've learned the ins and out of it. The only thing that will never not piss me off is that when you are in a Titan you will get pegged endlessly by the MGL with no recourse because the roofs have those stupid walls pilots can hide behind.

It' got a lot of variety and flows well for something with so much interior imo.

The random kill streak thing is kind of fun, but not terrible reliable. Also half the time I dont notice I've earned something until I accidentally hit the button, and then I phase rewind instead of getting the expected weapon amp.

I did have a fun moment with pilot hologram nova though. Used it in front of a ronin, ronin proceeded to fire away at the holograms, nearby pilot carrying battery also starting firing at them so I picked him off and stole his battery while the ronin was still confused with the holograms.

I just had a game where I leveled up a gun by getting an evac kill, so it counts towards XP.

welp.

Out of nowhere, was playing last night, quit out for dinner, and on coming back I can't get the game to launch. Tried launching both from the direct link and through Origin.
The game loads, runs through the Respawn/EA logos, hits the Respawn loading part, then hangs on a black screen. At that point the only way out is force-closing through task manager.
I've tried every command-line option out there to try to force windowed/borderless. Did a full uninstall/reinstall, also uninstalled/clean re-installed Nvidia drivers, reinstalled the VC drivers and DX drivers. Still stuck.
Running a GTX970, tried underclocking, resetting clock settings, etc.
Also tried disabling Nvidia Experience and/or Origin overlay, same deal. With the Origin overlay enabled, I can get it to open with Shift+F1 during the intro logos, but once the game freezes even the overlay won't work.

No-one answered this but yes, they do count for challenges and stuff. I've had kills in the epilogue finish up camo challenges and the like.

Hurry Up, We're Dreaming

I like reapers, and I think they make for a fun challenge, but the way the rules handle them is awful. Friendly reapers should never block titans, reapers should never be able to titanfall kill anything, and everything about reapers needs to apply points to whoever did the most damage to them or their targets.

Yea the devotion has amazing range and on certain maps can light up an entire battlefield as soon as the match starts! I love using it with A-Wall because it protects me from counter fire while I speed up the gun and pick dudes off one by one! Also with amped weapons on PLUS A-Wall devotion kills in like 2 bullets!
