Happy 2nd (or 3rd!) day of Christmas! Once again we're stuck with birds, with the only alternative to "2 turtle doves" being some partridges (apparently if you got shafted on day 1?), so with that in mind we're streaming Castlevania Symphony of the Night: Maria Mode! The main PSP emulator is finally starting to run some of these games decently, which is great since I'm still not sure how you'd capture from an actual PSP.  I just got done rushing through an Alucard playthrough to unlock her, so let's see how well my practice holds out compared to fatigue / burnout! Starting now!Edit: Done! Maria Mode was actually pretty fun, except the parts where her attack never goes up and not all the enemies are scaled down.  We knocked out the first castle (treating Olrox as the boss since Richter didn't show up) and will probably finish the run sometime after the Christmas series. Hope to see y'all tomorrow!

Wow, lots of Souls (well, Bloodborne anyway) tonight! Well, if you don't mind some  , I'll be streaming Dark Souls 3 for the 4th day of Christmas. This one comes from a French version of the 12 days in the late 19th century, and has (among a bunch of instruments, like "7 kettle drums" and French horns instead of hens) "four flaring flambeaux." So yep, that means a torch + pyro run, aiming to get as far as I can tonight and see if anybody wants me to continue later, heh."But Wayne," you might be wondering, "Why would you do a challenge run when you haven't actually beaten DS3 yet?" And that's because schadenfreude and misfortune is my gift to you! Get it now! Edit: Done! Had PC problems still and ended up playing Bloodborne as well.  ed a lot of fools to death in Old Yharnam!

Just asking because I've been mulling over a platform shift and Beam doesn't seem like it, heh. Anyway, for tonight you just can't get away from, you guessed it; five gold[eeeeen] rings, and that means more Sonic! Sonic 2, this time! Ben will be streaming for an hour or two, and since I'm completely terrible at it* you all can decide if we dog off early, or if I switch over to Rune Factory or Bloodborne or something else in the usual rotation. Come on by! * I was going to switch over to Megaman 4 and do a Ring Boomerang-only run, but I haven't played any of them in so long I didn't even make it to the boss in my 20 minutes of practice. So I guess that's an option too if you didn't get enough of Wayne Fail against Blood-Starved Beast last night.  Edit: Done! Happy New Year, all!  We're not going to be doing a marathon stream like a lot of folks, but Ben will be doing something new: an MMO! One of the variant Days of Christmas has the true love giving "6 broadswords," which is awesome and way better than drummers or more birds. It was originally going to be Black Desert Online (which coincidentally has a free week trial going on for Christmas), but due to them capping bandwidth Ben's playing The Secret World on Steam instead. Apparently you can join a faction dedicated to stabbing monsters, which is close enough! Starting now!
