Valentines day in the Stimpire is the most sickening holiday yet. All citizens must have jalapeno chocolate truffles inserted rectally and their thoughts are monitored. If they think any sign of displeasure or discomfort they will have electronic shock collars fitted to their wrists so that whenever they try to wipe after defecating they are shocked. Even if their thoughts are pure there is still a lottery system so that 1 in 5 people will get this treatment anyways.

My best friend passed away Christmas eve. Went to the open casket service last nite. 2016 has been a monster. I haven't slept or eaten right in days. Glad to have this place and you guys to get my mind off of things.  .

Is it even possible to make a thing like Star Citizen with than engine? I'll guess that no, but then the only possible way is a custom engine? If so, what a fool CR for choosing CE from the start, this project is a series of bad steps starting from the beginning.

It is, you just need to either be creative with repositioning the world center a lot (but this only gets you so far), or write some of your own c++ code. I'm currently doing something in unreal that'll hopefully work well with an unlimited size world (well, technically not unlimited, but 38 times the size of observable universe should be enough for my needs)

The Cry engine contract CIG had with crytek probably ran out and instead of renewing it they went for a free option. They are not actually switching anything, since any differences between lumberyard and starengine can be hand waived away as "modifications"

They always give first streaming rights to the popular guys not the ones who will play it well Last night was rhinocrunch who basically sat in a corner of the map jumping at every leave rustling and twig popping It does look very nice , and I had great fun last night taking an entire group of 5 to Saiga-town Also one of the better games I've played where sound is 100% vital You can hear every crunch of gravel and movement of someone's feet , it's really super immersive and I poo poo my pants on a few occasions of getting surprised Also it's pretty nice not being able to tell who is ai and who is a player until after the fire fight, and you can loot them up close, The AI needs some serious tweaking because they're either zombies or they'll spin around while firing at you Blue On Blue fucked around with this message at 19:04 on Dec 30, 2016 |

The early days of DayZ mod were probably the most I've ever enjoyed a game. Standalone was okay, but still seems to play worse than the original mod even after all this time. If Tarkov can get anywhere close to that intensity I will definitely be playing it. Edit: tax
