Two days ago I was arrested for 'marijuana less than one oz.' over a roach some dipshit dropped in my car. I might be that dipshit to be honest. Posted my own bail yesterday, 3500. While they searched my car they saw that I had combined two medications I am prescribed into the same container so I also have a felony charge of keeping prescription medication in an unauthorized container. Wut Luckily this is America and I think I might make just enough money to buy my way out of the felony. But, at the same time, I am a man who appreciates a reasonable contengency plan: If this does cause me to be a felon, what's the funniest way possible to commit suicide in front of my arresting officer? Oh, definitely. I'm not insane. I have always spared no expense when it comes to finding a lawyer who consistently wins trial cases. The last lawyer I hired was the Goddamn best. He's moved onto being a congressman and judge now though. He charged out the rear end though. I'll settle for second best this time. Also, I'm smoking weed right now because gently caress the police. just dont smoke in your car, keep it in the trunk wrapped up when you have to transport it, for smoking stick to private residences and be respectful of your neighbors and you should be ok just always be vigilante if weed is illegal where you live

Also don't buy quantities that can be taken to charge for intent to sell. It doesn't matter if you're an impulsive daily smoker who can clear a quarter ounce a day, your smoke habit isn't worth maintaining at that risk

Well, man, I have a pretty swell life and a felony would change that. If I am blackballed from most companies that need my skilset I'm not sure I'll enjoy life, I LOVE my job. I'd say at the last four Software Development firms I've worked out, any one of by charges would result in a rescinded iob offer I think being a felon in America would kill my dreams and at that point, boom motherfucker. Massachusetts was already de facto legal for years beforehand which is probably why it doesn't feel that different there now. I lived there for 7 years and I literally didn't know a single person who ever even got a ticket for possession. They do an annual weed festival in Boston and the cops just chill at the park and make sure nobody's openly buying/selling, while absorbing a massive second-hand high. Hell, the smell of weed, regardless of fresh or burnt, hasn't been legally considered probably cause to search a vehicle since like 2013. Hell, I'd say the attitude was more relaxed in Boston than in Denver - I was told that smoking on the street will get you a ticket in Denver, whereas I personally had 3 separate incidents of a cop in Boston just yelling at me to put it out and gently caress off.
