It's good because American Renaissance's idea of defending whites is to make miscegenation illegal again.

Unfortunately, it's really not weird at all. Most humans have deeply ingrained biases based on tribal remnants.

One of the things i like about socialism is it's ability to bring people under a more inclusive caste. Almost everyone has to work for a living!

Christianity was the first great victory for universalist symbolism, but it can't deal with the fact that most people don't want to be Christian.

What's the loving point of ancapsism? Either the fascist comes to power and you get gassed, or the revolution happens and you get gulaged!

Or, perhaps worst of all, liberals stay in power and mom burns your hotpockets again!

Well, about the first: http://www.politifact.com/punditfact/statements/2015/aug/12/george-will/george-will-reminds-readers-about-bernie-sanders-u/

tl;dr when Sanders was mayor of Burlington, he had set up a bunch of "sister cities" to promote international understanding, one of which was in the USSR, where he went on a kind of diplomatic visit right after his marriage.

quote:

Will wrote that Sanders chose "to spend his honeymoon in the Soviet Union in 1988."

Sanders and his wife did travel to Yaroslavl, a city in the Soviet Union, after their wedding in 1988. In the sense that the trip came after the couple were married, the trip was a honeymoon. The two have also referred to the trip that way, albeit sarcastically at times.

But it was an unusual honeymoon, to say the least. The trip’s primary purpose was diplomacy, not leisure, and included about 10 extra guests.

Picket Line
http://inthesetimes.com/working/entry/18841/hillary_rodham_bill_clinton_and_the_1971_yale_strike

quote:

And yet, on her first date with classmate Clinton in 1971, Rodham would later recall:

We both had wanted to see a Mark Rothko exhibit at the Yale Art Gallery but, because of a labor dispute, some of the university's buildings, including the museum, were closed. As Bill and I walked by, he decided he could get us in if we offered to pick up the litter that had accumulated in the gallery's courtyard. Watching him talk our way in was the first time I saw his persuasiveness in action. We had the entire museum to ourselves. We wandered through the galleries talking about Rothko and twentieth-century art. I admit to being surprised at his interest in and knowledge of subjects that seemed, at first, unusual for a Viking from Arkansas. We ended up in the museum's courtyard, where I sat in the large lap of Henry Moore's sculpture Drape Seated Woman while we talked until dark.

The relationship between Rodham and Clinton, two instrumental figures in the decoupling of the Democratic Party from the priorities of the mainstream labor movement, thus began with the crossing of a picket line.

Yeah, and racism is dead!

Prejudive, in any form, is still the norm in most of the world. Just because it has become taboo to be openly bigoted doesn't mean it's gone. The developed west is just a bit better at smoldering the coals.

Sure, it's not good, but atleast presently, it's a fact of life and the norm for most people.

Also let's not pretend like anyone here actually cares deeply about African tribal conflict or whatever. That stuff is bad but there's nothing I can do about it and it doesn't affect me. But stuff happening in the West does and I can affect it
