I ended up scouting Takamori Aiko, so now I have all the New Gens SSRs and SSRs of their respective units.

Now I'm tempted to get the pack after all for Frederica, just to have 4/5 LiPPS SSRs. Otherwise, I've got at least one SSR per attribute/stat combo. I'll decide in a couple days since I'll need to refuel on paid gems for dailies.

As far as skills go, you're limited to score up, as well as perfect lock via the original New Generations cards (Uzuki, Rin, Mio).

okay question since i'm still pretty new to this: is it worth going for this 2nd year whatever drawing that's happening? i've been hoarding love gems and i'm at 120 right now. not sure if i should keep hoarding them for an even better one of these event things or if this is about as good as it's gonna get.

If you really like them, you can. During events there'll always be scouting like this which can permit drawing cards that aren't in the main box, but I believe this also runs the risk of drawing cards that are weaker than what you could get out of the regular gacha. I'd partially recommend going for an attribute box sometime down the line to help with a team whose strength lags behind your others.

I think I'll keep hoarding for now. Having not yet watched the show and not seen all that many main character stories in the game yet, I've not pledged my allegiance to any idol thus far. Also I'm currently trying to max bond all my Ns right now so I've no need to pile more objectives on top of my current goal.

 This is what I spent those 2500 star gems on this morning. Only three dupes! Good job, game. And I finally have a Mirei to finish up my squad of weirdos, plus a pretty good Miho. Not a bad draw, I guess. So you can only buy that scouting ticket with paid gems? Which means you can't buy one in the states, right? Guess I'll just have to go back to crossing my fingers.  (It's amazing, the value we ascribe to what are basically JPEGs...)

You'd need to buy Japanese iTunes cards from somewhere (because of course the cards are region-locked). I imagine most places you can buy them from are straight digital, and not going to ship you an actual card, but idk, I never have.

The game itself takes cards? I assumed it used iTunes/App store only (and I doubt the .jp version of either'd take a us visa). Also wow the master+ is especially rude.

I think it's an iOS vs. Android thing. Android you just pay through the Play store like you would anything, it doesn't care that you're playing an out-of-region game.
